Celebrate the pre-weekend after work at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore's beautiful Chihuly Lounge with free-flowing cocktails, wines, draft beer and soft drinks every Wednesday and Thursday! The Aperitivo Tradition runs from 630PM to 830PM and it will offer a specially curated selection of antipasti on top of unlimited beverages for the whole two hour.
I love the selection of antipasti like this refreshing Tomato Mozzarella Skewer. It is worth noting that even though no mains were served as part of The Aperitivo Tradition, the antipastis are free-flowing (much like the beverages) and can therefore make for a light dinner (or a heavy one if you'd like!).
As a person who prefer savoury food over sweet ones, I really enjoyed the Iberico Chorizo on Toast with Pickled Onion and the Hickory Smoked Salmon with Caviar Cream served on Dill Potato. I love the crusty toast and the familiarity of the combined flavours from the chorizo. These two dshes are in my opinion, the best ones to go with that delicious Negoni served during Aperitivo Tradition.
Cheese-lovers would also be able to rejoice at the healthy selection of cheese - we hear it is similar to the one served at Colony which I have recently gone on my own and have fallen in love with it all over again.
Of course, the usual suspects to go with the cheeses can also be found right next to the section. Since I'm not a fan of the pungent and soft cheeses, I've managed to maintain a safe distance for this section of the table for dinner.
I also particularly liked the Prosciutto Melon with White Balsamic Jelly - I just wished the prosciutto-to-melon-ratio was higher! The white balsamic jelly was definitely an interesting touch and definitely a thoughtful one considering how the antipasti is served buffet-style. The last thing anyone would want is for quality prosciutto to sit in a puddle of vinegar for way too long. There is also charcuterie platter for all you meatlovers out there so don't worry about having nothing to choose from.
There were four types of wines served during Aperitivo Tradition at the Chihuly Lounge. As mentioned earlier, all the seletcted beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) on the menu are free-flowing.
