US$250 for 50K IHG Points - Completion of IHG Accelerate 2016 Offers
While refreshing my loyalty programs on AwardWallet (something I use to keep track of my miles and points to make sure they do not expire), I realised that my bonus points from completing my IHG Accelerate 2016 offers have been posted. As I have written previously, my IHG Accelerate offers have changed without any notice and they became a lot easier to complete.
I have basically managed to get 53,200 bonus IHG Rewards Club Points with two Holiday Inn Express stays in Singapore. If you would like to see my full list of offers, click HERE. If you have not already completed your Accelerate Offers, there are only 30 days left to do it so if it's doable, do not miss out on it! Should you be in Singapore, be sure to check how much the IHG Rewards Club points are worth here but generally speaking, not much - you should definitely save them for better properties overseas.
Personally, I have managed to find two really good rates at the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay (S$135++) and the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road (S$145++) on weekends. Therefore, the cost of acquiring these bonus points (which I will put to good use soon) is approximately S$330 Nett - essentially S$6.20 per 1,000 IHG Points. Remember these bonus points are on top of whatever points I am earning with the elite-qualifying spend. Did you know that you can utilise your IHG Rewards Club points for dining vouchers and even airline miles in Singapore?
IHG One Rewards is running a limited-time promotion where eligible members can receive up to a 100% bonus on purchased points—bringing the effective cost down to just 0.5 US cents per point. This offer is valid through 22 May 2025 and the annual purchase cap has also been increased to 200,000 points. Here’s why this could be a great opportunity if you have specific redemptions in mind.
