Contactless Payment with UOB PRVI Miles AmEx for 10 Miles per S$5
The UOB PRVI Miles American Express card will soon get contactless payment enabled - could this be a step towards the whole Apple Pay movement? If you are an existing cardholder, you should definitely request for the new card (via SMS) as you will be able to earn 10 Miles per S$5 (2 miles per dollar) spent via contactless payment at participating supermarkets between 01 June 2016 to 30 November 2016.

This isn't exactly fantastic news since you can do get 20 miles per S$5 with PayWave transactions on the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa (PPV) Credit Card. If you do shop at Cold Storage, Giant, Jasons or Marketplace for groceries, do remember that the UOB PPV does not award 20 miles per S$5 as you will only earn 0.5% SMART$ Rebate on those merchants with your UOB PPV. There are obviously better cards to use to get better miles but if you are thinking about using the UOB PRVI miles AmEx card, you should consider getting the new version for enhanced points accrual rates.
The additional UNI$ is limited to UNI$75 (equivalent to additional 150 miles or spend of S$250) per Card Account per calendar month and will be credited within one (1) month at the end of each calendar month.
