New Accelerate offers are up and you can now sign-in to see what your offers are for the upcoming quarter (15 May 2017 to 31 August 2017) ahead! In case you do not know what they are, they are basically a set of challenges that are tailored to your IHG Rewards Club account based on stay history and elite status. Completing these tasks will trigger an achievement bonus (which is usually quite impressive) that will earn you a lot of IHG Rewards Club points!
The easiest and most cost-effective way for me to complete my Accelerate offers for the upcoming quarter ahead is to stay twice in any InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Asia-Pacific. Since I am based in Singapore, this can be easily taken care of by staying twice - one for a night and once over the weekend (two nights). Doing so will earn me 9,600 IHG Rewards Club points - it will also trigger my achievement bonus of 19,900 IHG Rewards Club points. If I complete one of the stays before 30 June 2017, I will also earn an additional 2,500 IHG Rewards Club points (a grand total of 32,000 points). In addition to that, my stays will also trigger the bonuses on the Book Direct with IHG challenge - two stays will trigger 14,000 IHG Rewards Club points.
From now until 30 December 2019, present your IHG Rewards Club membership card (or virtual card on the IHG App) to receive up to 30% savings on your dining bill across all participating hotels located in India, Middle East, Africa, South East Asia, Korea and Australia with or without a stay.
IHG is currently running a global sale to give guests the opportunity to save at least 20% off the Best Flexible Rate across all participating hotels this season - your reservation has to be made before the end of 31 July 2019 for stays through 15 September 2019.
Get more IHG Rewards Club Points when you stay at IHG hotels around the world between now and 31 August 2019 - all you have to do is to sign-in to your account and see what your tailored offers are. Now IHG has been running these Accelerate offers for a couple of years now and sometimes they are extremely easy to complete - there is usually a grand bonus if you manage to complete all the tasks that you have been targeted for.
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport has just been awarded the World's Best Airport Hotel for the fifth successive year in the World Airport Awards. The hotel offers a seamless connection to Terminal 3 of Changi Airport and with Jewel Changi Airport opening this year, the hotel will be able to cater to travellers who will have more reason for a longer stayover, as well as local visitors seeking meeting venues or a relaxing staycation.
Ebates is currently offering a massive 12% cashback on all eligible IHG stays - all you have to do is to sign-up (if you do not already have an account), search for IHG and book your stay via the usual way to get 12% cashback into your Ebates account (which you can then withdraw to a PayPal account).
The InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is quite possibly the most beautiful IHG property in Singapore. Opened in late 2017, this property is located in a quieter area of Singapore (which is quite popular amongst expats) and the rooms (albeit small) are luxuriously-furnished. When I stayed in a Club Riverview Studio King room last year, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I think it is safe to say that this property has the best Club InterContinental Lounge (with a proper cocktail menu) in the country.
The InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 is the highest hotel in Hanoi. I stayed in one of the best suites at the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 during my visit - the Royal Suite is the second largest suite in the property (just one category below the Presidential Suite) and it features 148sqm of beautifully-appointed space.
There has been a number of exciting changes for Regent Singapore this year - the management agreement with Four Seasons was not extended for 2019 (the official last day was 31 December 2018) and the Potiac Land Group (who owns the property) has appointed Capella Hotel Group to manage the hotel this year. What is even more interesting however is that IHG Rewards Club members will soon be able to earn and redeem IHG Rewards Club points at Regent properties (yes, this includes the Regent Singapore) from 01 February 2019.
While I do not generally purchase IHG Rewards Club Points, they can be quite attractive when utilised on high-demand periods (e.g. New Year’s Eve). Members can now purchase IHG Rewards Club Points with a 75% bonus when they complete the transaction between 28 February 2019. If you have immediate demand for these points, now is a great time to purchase them but if you do not have any plans for them, a 100% bonus runs from time to time (but this is not a fixed promotion).
Many of you will remember that the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has acquired a 51% stake in Regent Hotels & Resorts back in 2018 and now, it has been officially announced that IHG Rewards Club members will soon be able to earn and redeem points at these properties from 01 February 2019. While searching for hotels yesterday, I noticed that the Regent Singapore (where I have stayed back in 2014) is already integrated into the IHG app - you can now book it via the platform but at the time of writing, reward nights are not yet available.
