There is no cap to the number of bonus points an IHG Rewards member can earn during the promotional period but do take note that the bonus points do not include any elite bonuses. At the time of writing, Platinum Elite members earn 50% more points (i.e. 15 points per USD) so they will earn 25 points per USD during the aforementioned period.

IHG Rewards has announced a program refresh that is due to come into effect from March 2022 - a brand new Silver tier has been announced, and we know that the Spire Elite tier will soon be known as Diamond. Apart from that, it is expected that the loyalty program will announce some new changes soon - hopefully we will get to see some guaranteed benefits for elite members in the new program refresh.
