Enhanced Benefits (2018) for Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Card - More

The Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Card comes with a S$588.50 annual fee that cannot be waived but it is one of the cheapest ways to purchase miles by paying for the card's annual fees. While existing cardholders have been given a fairly lackluster renewal offer, new card applicants can benefit from 35,000 miles when they pay for the annual fee - only S$16.81 for 1,000 miles! With the start of the new year, the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Card has scaled back some benefits but also started to offer a little more.

1. Removal of Hilton Honors Gold Fast Track

Even though this is not specific to the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Card itself (but rather to all Visa Infinite cards issued in the region), there is now no longer the option to fast track to Hilton Honors Gold in two stays - you will probably have to earn it the hard way or sign-up for one of those four-stay fast tracks which may or may not be applicable to you.

2. Additional Hotel Discounts

While Standard Chartered Visa Infinite cardholders will no longer be able to enjoy discounted rates and enhanced benefits at participating Preferred Hotels & Resorts or Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel properties this year, a 20% discount will be applicable at participating Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. Cardholders will also be able to get a USD 50 room credit at participating YTL Hotels with a 2-night minimum stay. A SGD 100 discount is also applicable for bookings made on The Luxe Nomad (minimum of SGD 700 booking required).

3. Continued Partnership with The Fullerton Hotels

While cardholders will no longer get 50% off 60-minute spa massage during their birthday month (or so it seems, since I can't find it anywhere), they will continue to benefit from a 20% discount off all restaurants and bars in The Fullerton Hotels - it is unclear whether discount on beverages have been included this year. Cardholders will continue to gain complimentary access to The Fullerton Hotel Singapore's Fitness Centre (pool and spa facilities) and will now be able to enjoy Members’ Special Rates for a night in the Marina Bay area and an additional 5,000 Rewards Points for each completed stay.

4. Dining Benefits at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Colony is hands-down the best buffet restaurant in Singapore in my opinion and there are not many credit cards that give dining privileges here. Cardholders of the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Cards will get 15% off dining bill at Colony and at the Chihuly Lounge (excluding beverages). They will also get to enjoy 10% off food bill at the one-Michelin Star Summer Pavilion (excluding beverages).

5. More Spa Discounts

Apart from the spa at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, cardholders can now enjoy a 15% discount at the Auriga spa in Capella Singapore. Cardholders will also be able to benefit from a 15% discount on La Mer facials at The Ritz-Carlton Spa. If you purchase a 12-month Wellness Membership, you will get to enjoy one additional month of membership free.
