Singapore Airlines to Launch Service between Melbourne and Wellington, Daily Flights to Canberra from May 2018

Singapore Airlines will be replacing the existing Canberra-Wellington service with Melbourne-Wellington from 03 May 2018. The four-times weekly flights between Singapore and Wellington via Melbourne will be operated under flight number SQ247 and SQ248. In addition to that, daily flights between Singapore and Canberra via Sydney are also planned from 01 May 2018.

The new flights that will be operated between Singapore and Wellington via Melbourne will be operated by the 266-seat (including 38 Business Class seats) Boeing 777-200s while the flights between Singapore and Canberra via Sydney will be operated by the 264-seat Boeing 777-300ER (including four First Class and 48 Business Class seats).
