Experiencing A Luxurious Journey with Bentley at The St. Regis Singapore
In conjunction with her tenth birthday celebration, The St. Regis Singapore has partnered up with Bentley to offer discerning guests an opportunity to experience A Luxurious Journey with Bentley from now until 30 November 2018. This limited-time room package is available from S$1,010++ per night and I was really lucky enough to be invited down by the amazing team to experience this for myself.

This special room package comes with two-way transfer in a Bentley Continental Flying Spur - these majestic beasts are well-known for their 6.0 L W12 twin-turbo engines and the interiors are so luxuriously finished. Since I have arranged for the pick-up to be at my office in the CBD, the ride to The St. Regis Singapore was definitely a lot shorter than I would have hoped for. A typical Bentley transfer arranged by the hotel would set you back S$210 each way so a return trip would have costed you S$420.
As soon as the Bentley pulled up in the driveway of The St. Regis Singapore, I was quickly ushered to the check-in area of the hotel and my bags were all taken care of. My Platinum Elite status with Marriott Rewards was recognised and I was given a choice between 1,000 Marriott Rewards Points or an F&B amenity - no prizes for guessing which one I went with! A Luxurious Journey with Bentley room package comes with one night in a St. Regis Suite but this will be further upgraded into a Caroline Astor Suite (I have stayed in one of these approximately two years ago!) if it is available.
It is probably worth noting that there are no fixed suites allocated for this promotion - this means to say that the hotel has to prepare everything from scratch when a guest books the package. You will see from the photos that there are plenty of Bentley-branded products located throughout the entire suite - all of these have to be purchased if you wish to take them home. The most expensive item on sale? A leather pillow priced at S$2,000.
While you may not wish to splurge on Bentley-related products (they are quite expensive after all), the room package that you have committed to comes with a very special In-room Bentley Welcome Amenity. Apart from the welcome note, guests are also able to enjoy an entire box of chocolate pralines (25 pieces) from Janice Wong - these chocolates are created specially for hotel guests who have booked this exclusive room package.
Additionally, you will also receive a Handcrafted Bentley Gift Set during your stay - this was delivered to my room shortly after I have checked-in. This gift set consists of a bottle opener from Bentley (the same one is priced at S$100 in the room), a beautiful leather case and a set of glass charms for all your high-end dinner parties that you throw.
The St. Regis Singapore’s A Luxurious Journey with Bentley room package is truly made for someone who wish to spend all his or her time in the hotel. You will have S$100 worth of dining credit to utilise during your stay and the best way to use it up is to simply charge your dining expenses to the room (anything in excess of S$100 will be billed to you). Do note that the dining credit cannot be utilised in the bar for drinks. Since I stayed over on a Friday, I thought that it would be a great idea to check out the Barbecue Night over at LaBrezza (from S$88++ per adult). Honestly, even though it was such a balmy evening, I had a great time enjoying the free-flowing roast meats as well as fresh seafood on ice.
I have not been back to LaBrezza in ages but since I do have The Platinum Card now, I foresee myself returning very soon - for those of you who do not know, The Platinum Card offers up to 50% off the food menu when dining with a friend. If you are planning on staying here at The St. Regis Singapore, booking the FHR Rate will give you USD 100 F&B credit on top of other benefits that you can utilise during your stay.
After a really filling dinner, I went back to the suite to enjoy some much-needed rest. I took the opportunity to enjoy a good soak in the tub before calling it a night.
The room package comes with breakfast for two at Brasserie Les Saveurs. Since I got down to the restaurant during the peak hours (i.e. after 9:00AM), I was given the option to have it upstairs instead. I decided to wait for a table and I am glad I did since it took only less than 5 minutes before I was actually seated.
One of the things that you must absolutely order when you are at The St. Regis Singapore for breakfast is the Epicurean Omelette which is served with poached Boston lobster and tiger prawn, cognac-scented lobster bisque as well as avruga pearls. Not quite the same as the one that I have had at the legendary St. Regis Bali Resort but a good version nonetheless! The best way to end this perfect stay? Enjoy a 60-minute massage at the Remède Spa with your partner and loved one (also included in this stay package) before hopping on that luxurious Bentley for the ride home.
