Hoshino Resorts to unveil new KAI property in Hakone District - KAI Sengokuhara
Hoshino Resorts will be unveiling a brand new KAI property in the Hakone district on 27 July 2018 and this will become the 15th property under the greater brand umbrella. The KAI Sengokuhara will become the second KAI brand in Hakone (the current KAI Hakone is situated along the Sukumo River), and it will feature private hot spring baths in each of its 16 guest rooms.
KAI Sengokuhara is located near Hakone Gora area and it is situated approximately 700m up in the mountains. The art pieces found in this luxurious property have been curated by resident artists and guests staying over can enjoy activities to explore their inner creativity. The KAI Sengokuhara is located approximately two hours away from Tokyo and English-speaking staff will be on property to guide you.
Guests staying at the KAI Sengokuhara will be able to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine which highlights the aromas and other qualities of the local seafood and vegetables, reflecting the ryokan's location in the mountains with proximity to the ocean. Dishes and dishware are combined in ways both beautiful and playful, as befitting an art-oriented ryokan.
Private outdoor baths are located on the terraces of every single room here at KAI Sengokuhara and the water used in the bath comes straight from the famous Owakudani volcanic valley (check out what else to do in Hakone!). Guests staying in the Signature Rooms also get to feast their eyes on room art created by resident artists.
Used one of my Nightly Upgrade Awards (NUAs) at the W Osaka to secure a beautiful Marvelous Suite. The hotel is located on Midosuki Boulevard and within walking distance to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori.
