My account has been targeted with 40% bonus miles and all I have to do is to purchase at least 20,000 miles (I know that some other accounts have been targeted with a 30,000 minimum). Miles are priced at USD 27.50 per 1,000 block and there is also a 7.5% tax recovery fee that you will have to pay. If you wish to take advantage of the ridiculously cheap Japan Airlines Business Class redemption, you will require 25,000 miles per person.
