The annual fee of the American Express Platinum Card cannot be waived and even though an annual income requirement of S$200,000 is published, I know of at least a handful of people who have been approved for this card with an income less than S$120,000 so there is really no harm trying if you are keen on getting this prestigious metal card. I have covered the perks and justification for paying the annual fee in a previous article but honestly, if you are one who enjoys luxury travel and plenty of perks, this card seriously offers great value.
