Children Under 12 Eat for Free in Asia-Pacific Hotels for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and Higher Members
Marriott Bonvoy members who have Platinum Elite and higher status (i.e. Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite) now have more reasons to bring their children along with them on stays. While it is fairly common for a hotel to provide complimentary breakfast for children under the age of 6, children of Platinum Elite and higher members will now enjoy complimentary breakfast until the age of 12 at all participating Asia-Pacific hotels.
While Marriott Bonvoy members have always been able to enjoy up to 20% discount on F&B expenses across all participating hotels in Asia-Pacific, this new perk is highly valuable for families traveling together (especially in resorts where breakfasts can be quite costly). Do note that up to 2 children per occupied room by an eligible member will get to enjoy the aforementioned benefit.
If you typically stay in luxury hotels (e.g. St. Regis and W Hotels), it may be a good idea to consider getting the American Express Platinum Card since it gives you access to Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR) rates which typically come with USD 100 credit which you can use during your stay. If you are interested in getting the card, using my referral link will give you 40,000 more Membership Rewards Points with your charge card.
Following the November 2025 devaluation, the value of a KrisFlyer mile has undoubtedly dropped. While Saver awards remain the gold standard, it is time to revisit a perk that has always existed but is often ignored: the Advantage Award stopover. By leveraging the complimentary stopover on one-way Advantage redemptions, you can effectively book a second holiday for free - provided you travel within 30 days.
