Hilton Honors Extends Status for All Members and Reduces Elite Qualification Requirements by 50% in 2021 - Milestone Bonuses to Start from 20 Nights

All Hilton Honors members will have their elite statuses extended through March 2022 - this includes members who were initially supposed to have their statuses downgraded in 2020 (and have already received a one-time status extension to March 2021). In addition to the rollover nights, Hilton Honors has also announced a reduced set of qualification requirements for the year ahead in view of the current travel climate.

Extension of Hilton Honors Status Through 31 March 2022

All Hilton Honors Elite members will keep their current status through 31 March 2022 - you will keep whatever elite status you have now, regardless or whether you have managed to hit the requirements or not. This is fantastic news for members who did not manage to qualify for 2020/21 since there is no longer a need for you to do mattress runs just to keep your status through 2021/22.

Extending Points Expiration Date to 31 December 2021

Hilton Honors has also extended the date of Hilton Honors Points expiration to 31 December 2021 - you will not have to worry about points expiring during this period and you can use them when you are ready to travel again. As a quick reminder, Hilton Honors points typically expire after 12 months of inactivity in your account but this is not something that you will have to deal with for the time being.

Earn Hilton Honors Elite Status with 50% Requirement (Diamond Status in 15 Stays or 30 Nights)

In addition to the generous rollover nights offer, Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and retain elite status in the program with just 50% of the usual nights, stays or Base Points requirement in 2021. This means that you will only need 2, 10 and 15 stays to Silver, Gold and Diamond Elite Status respectively in 2021. While this is a fantastic offer, you would expect to find plenty of Diamond members in 2021/2022 which may hinder your chance at a real upgrade on property.

Milestone Bonuses to Start at 20 Nights - Earn 10,000 Bonus Points

Earn 10,000 points for every 10 nights you stay in 2021, starting at 20 nights (instead of the current 40-night requirement). Hitting 20 nights in 2021 will earn you 10,000 bonus Hilton Honors points and reaching 60 nights will get you 40,000 bonus points (or 80,000 bonus points cumulatively).

Gift Elite Status from 30 Nights

Hilton Honors Diamond Elite members will also be able to gift Gold and Diamond status to a friend if they consume 30 or 60 nights respectively - these requirements are down from the current 60 and 100 nights.
