Marriott eGiftCards can be used on the property only (pay for your room charges as well as F&B spend) and they are accepted worldwide except at certain brands. While you do have to purchase them during the promotional period to enjoy the 20% discount, Marriott eGiftCards do not have expiry dates so this is a good time to lock in those discounts but do take note of certain caveats.

What Can I Use Marriott eGift Cards For?

Secondly, Marriott eGift Cards can only be utilised on property which means Advance Purchase rates (or any other non-refundable rate that requires prepayment) will not be eligible. With that said, it does stack with luxury travel agent rates (e.g. Virtuoso, STARS and Luminious) that you will be able to access via ClassicTravel.com. These special rates (that also earn you elite-qualifying nights and points) typically come with USD 100 of property credit (regardless of stay duration) and it is not uncommon to find a fourth or fifth night free offer with them - check out the special luxury travel agent rates here!

These eGift Cards can be used for almost everything that you charge on property (including F&B and room charges) but most importantly, you do not need to fully exhaust the entire balance on your Marriott eGift Card in a single transaction. For example, if you were to purchase the US$1,000 eGift Card, you can use US$800 in Bali and then the remaining US$200 in Singapore (or any way you want). As mentioned earlier, there is no expiry date on these eGift Cards so this is definitely the best time to stock up on them if you have plans to stay in a Marriott property.

20% Discount on Applicable Denominations Only

Thirdly, do note that only certain denominations of Marriott eGift Cards offer 20% discount - these are available for purchase at the top of the page during the aforementioned period:

  • US$50 eGift Card for US$40

  • US$100 eGift Card for US$80

  • US$250 eGift Card for US$200

  • US$500 eGift Card for US$400

  • US$1,000 eGift Card for US$800

There is a US$5,000 limit per person per credit card per day on the purchase of these Marriott eGift Cards but if you are based in Singapore, consider using one of the 4 mpd credit cards to make your purchase.
