DBS Offering 100% Cashback (Capped at S$150) on Essential Spend for New Customers - 19 May 2020 to 14 August 2020!

DBS has just launched a new promotion for eligible new customers to earn 100% cashback (capped at S$150) on retail transactions made on Essential Spend (defined by Merchant Category Codes). This promotion is only applicable if you are an eligible new customer who is not currently holding any DBS/POSB credit cards (and have not cancelled any DBS/POSB credit cards within the last 12 months).

In order to qualify for the 100% cashback promotion, you will have to apply for anyone of the listed credit cards via an online application with the 'ESSENTIAL' promo code (this has to be entered at the time of application). Additionally, you will need to have the eligible card approved during the aforementioned promotion period and the retail transactions have to be made on qualifying Merchant Category Codes (MCC) as defined below:

There are six different credit cards that you can apply for under this promotion as a new customer and they are as follows:

• DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card - highly recommended as a general spend credit card

• DBS Woman’s World Card - highly recommended to earn 4 miles per dollar online (capped at S$2,000) each month

• DBS Altitude American Express Card

• DBS Live Fresh Card

• DBS Woman’s Card

• POSB Everyday Card

Depending on your card's approval date, the qualifying period will be different and it is best for you to refer to the table for more information. As mentioned earlier, the 100% cashback is only applicable to eligible charges with the aforementioned MCCs and the cashback is capped at $50 each calendar month - you can earn a total of S$150 over three months.

The first Eligible Card to be approved successfully during the Promotion Period will qualify to earn up to S$150 cashback on essential spend. Each Eligible Cardmember is only entitled to one (1) card, which can earn up to S$150 cashback on essential spend during the Promotion Period regardless of the number of Credit Cards applied or approved during the same period. Eligible Cardmember will not be eligible for any other DBS/POSB Card sign-up promotions or in combination with any other promotions.
