Last month, I wrote about Google Pay launching in Singapore and how you can earn cash bonuses for completing simple tasks. From now until 30 June 2020, new Google Pay users will be able to get S$5 cash reward by signing-up and making an eligible transaction on the app. Here are four simple steps to get S$5 cash for free:

1. Sign-up for Google Pay Singapore here

2. Download the Google Pay app (you should automatically be redirected after the first step)

3. Make a transfer of at least S$10 on Google Pay - you can transfer S$10 to a friend and then have that person transfer it back to you

4. Get S$5 Cash Bonus

At the time of writing it seems like only OCBC Bank customers will be able to transfer funds using Google Pay (as it requires you to link a bank account) but support for DBS and Standard Chartered customers are coming. Once you have registered for a Google Pay account, you will be able to start referring your friends to this platform - you will get S$5 with each successful referral, and your friend will get S$5 too after making his/her first eligible transaction.
