Cathay Pacific Miles Rebate: Get up to 30% Miles Back on Award Flights (Book by 31 Dec 2025)

Cathay Pacific has launched a final aggressive promotion for the year, offering Cathay members the opportunity to earn a miles rebate of up to 30% when redeeming flight awards to selected destinations across Asia. This Miles Redemption Delight campaign is an excellent opportunity to burn off some Asia Miles for travel in early 2026 (until 31 March 2026), especially if you have plans to visit the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan China, or Southeast Asia.

To take advantage of this offer, members must first register for the promotion and then redeem flight awards between now and 31 December 2025. The rebate is tiered based on the number of sectors redeemed during the promotional period. As a reminder, a direct one-way flight counts as 1 sector, while a direct return flight counts as 2 sectors.

Number of Sectors Redeemed Miles Rebate
1 Sector 10% Rebate
2 to 3 Sectors 20% Rebate
4 or more Sectors 30% Rebate

This structure effectively encourages booking multiple trips or travelling as a group. For example, a single return trip (2 sectors) will trigger a 20% rebate. However, if you redeem return tickets for yourself and a companion (4 sectors total), you will unlock the maximum 30% rebate on all miles used.

The promotion applies to flight awards to and from Hong Kong and selected destinations in:

  • Chinese Mainland

  • Taiwan China

  • Southeast Asia

This means that even though a redemption flight from Singapore to Hong Kong is eligible for the rebate, an award flight from Singapore to Tokyo via Hong Kong is not (unless you book both segments separately). While the specific city list hasn't been explicitly detailed in the public summary, it covers a broad range of short-haul getaways. If you are based in Singapore, this could be a great way to position yourself to Hong Kong or explore the region if you are already planning a trip.

Registration is mandatory and you must register via the offer page before making your redemption to qualify for the rebate. The travel periods notably skip the peak Lunar New Year holiday (which falls in mid-February 2026), so you will need to plan your travel around those blackout dates. However, the travel window extends until the end of March 2026, making it perfect for a post-CNY break.

If you have a stash of Asia Miles and upcoming travel plans within Asia for Q1 2026, this is a fantastic way to stretch your miles further. Achieving the 30% rebate tier is relatively easy if you are travelling with a partner or family member, effectively discounting the cost of your award flights significantly. Be sure to register and book your flights before the clock strikes midnight on 31 December 2025.
