Oman Air Officially Joins oneworld: New Opportunities for Premium Travellers
Oman Air has officially joined the oneworld alliance, becoming its 15th member airline and cementing its position among some of the world’s most prestigious carriers. From 1 July 2025, oneworld customers will be able to seamlessly access Oman Air’s network of destinations across the Middle East, Far East, Africa, and Europe, with full reciprocal benefits available to frequent flyers.
Oman Air’s entry marks a significant enhancement of oneworld’s presence in the Gulf region, providing premium travellers with expanded connectivity to Oman’s hub in Muscat. In particular, the newly-launched Muscat–Amsterdam non-stop service will offer an additional gateway for those travelling to or from Europe.
Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld, described the partnership as a “valuable strategic reach” that reinforces oneworld’s premium positioning. Oman Air’s membership means that oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby customers will enjoy the full suite of benefits, including priority check-in, priority boarding, access to nearly 700 lounges globally, and the ability to earn and redeem miles across the oneworld network. Oman Air’s top-tier guests will also gain access to oneworld’s priority perks, including newly opened oneworld-branded lounges at Amsterdam Schiphol and Seoul Incheon, cementing the alliance’s commitment to a seamless, premium travel experience.
With its home base at Muscat International Airport, Oman Air serves 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories, operating a three-class product with its flagship Business Studio featuring private suites on long-haul routes. The airline has earned considerable acclaim in recent years, taking home awards for Best Food & Beverage and Best Cabin Service in the Middle East at the 2025 APEX Awards. It was also recognised as one of only 10 airlines worldwide to achieve APEX WORLD CLASS by YATES+ status, including the first-ever recognition for a Business Class lounge.
Travellers flying Oman Air can expect a warm introduction to Omani hospitality, with its celebrated blend of culture, heritage, mountains, beaches, and authentic warmth. Oman Air CEO Con Korfiatis highlighted the honour of joining oneworld, describing the alliance as a perfect match for international travellers looking for premium experiences and connectivity. For frequent flyers across the oneworld ecosystem, Oman Air’s membership adds both an aspirational new partner and greater regional reach, ensuring that the Sultanate of Oman is now easier than ever to explore.
