The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay will reopen to staycation and leisure bookings from 9 February 2022.

So it appears that Singapore will be getting another Holiday Inn Express property at the beginning of next year - I only realised this when I was trying to book the InterContinental Singapore (again!) for a future stay. The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon will become Singapore's fourth Holiday Inn Express property and it appears that it will be taking over the existing Pinnacle Hotel based on the address.

The Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Soi Soonvijai is the fourth Holiday Inn Express property to open in Bangkok. This 206-room property is located just two minutes walk away from Bangkok Hospital and a short trip to both Piyavate Hospital and Rama 9 Hospital, making it perfect for medical tourists.

Singapore's most affordable InterContinental Hotels Group property has officially opened last month (June 2016) and I checked into the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong for a long weekend in an attempt to complete my IHG Accelerate 2016 offers in the most economical way possible (find out how I earned 14,000 IHG Rewards Club points in two nights HERE!). The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong has finally opened its door officially in the Lion City's first heritage town, the Joo Chiat neighbourhood of Katong. The 451-room property is the largest Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in Singapore and it is nestled amongst a number of cultural landmarks and famous Peranakan eateries.  

To complete one of my Accelerate Offers last quarter, I checked out the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road (since it was the only HIX brand that I have not stayed in in Singapore then) on one weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how much larger (compared to the Clarke Quay location) the rooms are here. It is important to remember that the HIX is a no-frills brand by the InterContinental Hotels Group so you really are paying for the room only (breakfast and WiFi is always complimentary though!).
