Degustation Menu (Japan) at Hilton Singapore's Poolside Italian Restaurant il Cielo by Chef Yohhei Sasaki

It has been slightly under a year since my last visit to the Hilton Singapore's rooftop Italian restaurant, il Cielo, and so I was very excited to check out the new dining experience with newly-appointed Chef de Cuisine, Yohhei Sasaki. Chef Sasaki has culinary experience across one-to-three Michelin-starred Italian restaurants in Tuscany and Lombardia where he perfected his skills to combine the seasonal Italian and Japanese gourmet produce to create unique Italian dishes with a touch of Japanese flair. Two degustation menus (wine-pairing available) for dinner (also available during lunch) have been created by Chef Sasaki to showcase some of his signature dishes.

Checking Out the Newly-Refreshed Dolce Vita at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

The Mandarin Oriental, Singapore officially unveiled the refreshed poolside Italian restaurant, Dolce Vita about a month ago and while I have been to the restaurant on multiple occasions, I have not dined there since the refresh. I was recently invited down to the restaurant to check out the modern new interiors and also to enjoy a carefully-prepared meal by one of the chefs to celebrate this joyous occasion.

Casa Tartufo - Secret Italian Restaurant in Singapore with a Truffle Focus

With so many Italian restaurants in Singapore, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out. As part of a campaign by Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a couple of international influencers (hey you can see some of them in the reflection!) and myself were treated to an evening soirée and a dinner at this charming Italian restaurant along Club Street which is actually nestled within The Scarlet Singapore. Casa Tartufo which literally translates into the House of Truffles, is well-deserving of its name. The restaurant, which honestly feels like an extension of someone's house, has an obsession with the use of quality truffles long before they were commercialised here in Singapore.

The Basillissimo Dinner Menu at Basilico (located within Regent Singapore) is a year-long dining affair that features a different menu each quarter of the year as part of the three-course Basillissimo (The Best of Basilico) dinner - this includes an appetiser, an à la carte main course as well as a dessert buffet that you definitely have to leave some (stomach) space for. Up Close and Personal with Chef de Cuisine Omar Bernardi at Chef’s Table (Dolce Vita - Mandarin Oriental, Singapore)

I have always been a huge fan of the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (as well as the larger Mandarin Oriental brand).
