Apart from the on-board bar and shower (if you are traveling in First Class!) on Emirates that most people look forward to, passengers traveling in Business Class and First Class may also be eligible for complimentary Chauffeur-drive services to and from the airport. This means to say that if you have a return flight from Singapore to Dubai, you should be eligible for up to four complimentary limousine transfers (to and from the airport).

Bali is one of my favourite places to visit (especially for a short weekend trip) as the flights out of Singapore are typically quite affordable. More importantly, there are so many hotels to choose from (even though I always return to the same few properties in the end) and some of the most memorable ones include the legendary St. Regis Bali Resort as well as the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. Since my flight from Bali to Singapore was in Business Class, I went straight to the Business Class check-in counters and quickly found myself at the Premier Lounge of the airport not long after.

Following the official debut of the new A380 products on Singapore Airlines, Singapore's flag carrier has just announced that London and Hong Kong (from 16 February 2018 and 18 February 2018 respectively) will be the next two destinations that will be served by A380s featuring the new cabin products.

Last month, Scoot announced that they will be operating four-times-weekly direct flights between Singapore and Berlin with the iconic Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This non-stop flight is scheduled to commence on 20 June 2018 and promotional tickets are now ready for purchase - S$299 and S$899 for Economy FLY and ScootBiz respectively.

United Airlines is currently offering up to 60% more miles when you purchase United Airlines MileagePlus Miles before 22 January 2018. While there was previously the opportunity to receive up to 100% more miles, the minimum number of miles required in order to trigger the highest bonus is significantly lesser this time - 30,000 miles versus 70,000 miles.

Qatar Airways is currently running their annual Travel Boutique Sale which offers up to 35% off fares in Economy, Business and First Class. There is also an extra 5% off when you use the coupon code (find out what it is below!) and more importantly, Privilege Club members can earn double Qmiles with an eligible ticket booked between now and 16 January 2018 - all travel must be completed by 10 December 2018.

While checking out some of my upcoming flights on Singapore Airlines, I noticed that the way flights are displayed when you Manage Booking as well as select your seats are different. Even though the changes are not drastic, it is interesting to see how Singapore Airlines now make it easier for you to know exactly which type of aircraft will you be traveling on. 

In a curious turn of events, it appears that Singapore Airlines will no longer be implementing that Credit Card Surcharge for flights departing Singapore after all. In less than 24 hours, the national airline of Singapore has decided not to charge the 1.30% credit card fee on Economy Lite tickets from 20 January 2018 following further review. Since its announcement, the decision to charge a service fee for the airline’s lowest priced tickets has come under heavy criticisms and while I personally find the fee insignificant (especially since you can avoid it with a debit card or simply paying PayPal), the airline has decided to take a step back with regards to this decision.
