Refreshed Southern Italian Menu (2016) at The Waterfall (Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore)

The Waterfall, located within the resort-like Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, is one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Singapore. Chef de Cuisine Marco De Vincentis has just unveiled a refreshed menu of Southern Italian classics with 27 new a la carte creations and six new desserts. You should also take advantage of the promotion right now which gives you double Golden Circle points when you dine on weekdays (equivalent to 20% cash back!).

New Harlem-inspired Menu at Manhattan (Regent Singapore)

Tucked away quietly in Regent Singapore, Manhattan is one of Singapore's best bars (it ranks amongst the world's top 50 bars too!) and as much as I wish to keep it a secret, it has to be shared. When I checked out the Hell's Kitchen district last year, I fell in love with the smokey Mad Dog (S$24++) . As such, when I got invited by the kind folks at Manhattan to try out the brand new Harlem district (read: menu), I knew I had to bring my drinking liver.

Afternoon Tea at the Pan Pacific Singapore

The Pan Pacific Singapore is one of my favourite hotels in Singapore for many reasons - the higher-tier rooms are beautiful and comparatively affordable (you can sometimes get a suite for $500), the GHA Black benefits are great, the food's always good and the service staff are always amazing. While the other restaurants (e.g. Hai Tien Lo, Keyaki and Edge) are consistently in the limelight for offering some of the best food around, the Atrium and Pacific Marketplace are often overshadowed by their better performing siblings. For instance, not many people actually know that the Pan Pacific Singapore offers TWO kinds of Afternoon Tea sets that you can choose from - English and Peranakan.
