5 Miles per S$1 with UOB PRVI Miles Card
I got an SMS this morning notifying me that all principal holders of a UOB PRVI Miles Card will receive 5 miles per S$1 on Overseas Dining and Shopping between 23 October 2015 to 31 December 2015.
New Points Transfer Partners with Citibank Singapore (from 18 October 2015)
If you do not already know this, Citibank Singapore made a silent change to their rewards portal over the weekends and the Citi Rewards Points and Citi Miles that you hold dear will now be translated into ThankYou® Points (in line with global standards) over time. While the value of your points and miles have not dropped overnight, Citibank Singapore has added a few new partners for points transfer (great news for travellers!).
4 Miles per S$1 on Overseas Spend and Visa payWave - UOB Visa Signature Card
If you tend to spend between S$1,000 to S$2,000 each month in foreign currency (do note this includes foreign currencies at merchants with payment gateway in Singapore), you can easily earn up to 4 miles per S$1 (or 5% rebate) each month. The UOB Visa Signature is not a card that is often being mentioned but yet it is one of the rare few cards in the market that gives you 4 miles per S$1 (even online transactions!) which is issued in UOB UNI$ (similar to other UOB credit cards) that you can redeem for miles or cash back (effectively 5%).

With the new changes that have taken place earlier this week, is it still worthwhile to hold on to this card? Here are some things you should know (some of which are in the fine print) before you decide.

Staycations in Singapore the Cheaper Way - HotelQuickly
HotelQuickly has evolved so much since I first used it and since then, I have utilised the service at least five times. I do not generally book properties with a strong loyalty program (e.g. Hyatt and Hilton) on HotelQuickly as these room nights do not count towards retaining my status each year. However, you will find really great deals on HotelQuickly especially if you know how to stack promotions. Here's how you take full advantage of HotelQuickly in Singapore.
Avoiding Cross Border Fees (and Other Hidden Costs) with Uber Singapore
I am generally a huge Uber fan and on average, I make use of the service (mostly UberX) at least five times a week. While there are many other substitutes around (e.g. GrabTaxi, CDG and Hailo), I feel that Uber has the most transparent pricing available and it also offers the most fuss-free experience. What you might not know though is that in some cases, what you see in your Uber app is not always what you are being charged on your credit card statement. There are many reasons for this and I am going to cover them (so we can all avoid this unintentionally):
