Boutique hotels differ from their larger chain hotel counterparts through many features. Usually, the most apparent one is size. Boutique hotels are comparatively smaller and usually have less than 100 rooms. First Look at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore
The Shutterwhale is honoured to have been invited to attend the media tour of the Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore and her launch party later that evening. While I have not actually stayed in the hotel yet, I am genuinely surprised (in the best way possible) by the quality of products and the level of energy that Hotel Jen brings to the hotel industry in Singapore. I am extremely excited to see what else Hotel Jen has to offer on a global level.
Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental Singapore
The Mandarin Oriental Singapore opened in 1987 with 527 rooms and suites. As one of the city's most luxurious hotels, the property features a breathtaking atrium lobby and is located along the beautiful Marina Bay in Singapore. It provides a great opportunity to getaway from the stressful city life without even leaving the country. Take advantage of the City Retreat weekend package at S$495++ which comes a night's accommodation in the Premier Ocean room and Champagne Brunch for two the following day
Hotel Review: Crowne Plaza Changi Airport (Pool Suite)
I stayed in the crème de la crème of the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport during my latest visit in August - the Pool Suite with Club Access. King Suites are 72sqm in size and comes with a powder room for your guests, a living area which doubles as a meeting area, a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe as well as an extremely luxurious bathroom (with two sinks nonetheless)! There are also two 37" Plasma TVs and ample working space for the business travellers on the road.
Hotel Review: Naumi Hotel
The Naumi Hotel has recently undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment. Featuring 73 rooms, event spaces and a gym, the boutique hotel is now dressed to impress. Just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Raffles Hotel, Naumi Hotel sits on a quiet stretch of road where one can enjoy a temporary disconnect from the world without sacrificing on the luxurious aspects of rejuvenation.
Hotel Review: Wangz Hotel
An intimate boutique hotel located along Tiong Bahru Road, the WANGZ Hotel is celebrating her fifth birthday at the end of the year. Housed in a unique barrel-shaped building, the hotel was previously known as the Tarng Chern Building and then the Hope Centre. Beyond the intriguing architecture lies an inviting and warm space that is further augmented by commodious room size and great service. I stayed in a Canopy Room that comes with a luxurious king-size bed featuring ultra-plush pillows and down feather duvet all piled atop a Sealy Posturepedic bed.
Hotel Review: Hotel Clover The Arts
Hotel Clover The Arts, the latest addition to the Hotel Clover brand, is a small boutique property that has only 44 rooms. Opened on 2 April 2014, the new property features individually-themed rooms to feature a unique arts experience. To promote and encourage Singapore's brand of creativity, Hotel Clover The Arts invited students from different arts and design schools in Singapore to participate in a mural competition for 19 rooms.
Hotel Review: Lloyd's Inn Singapore
Conveniently located just 5-10 minutes stroll from Somerset MRT station, the minimalist boutique hotel, Lloyd's Inn offers immense value to travellers and staycation goers. At the end of the day, Lloyd's Inn isn't about a luxurious getaway. It is about fulfilling the Lloyd's Experience and having the enjoyment of space to do what you want. It is an opportunity to rehabilitate yourself emotionally and indulge in the process.
