Hotel Review: The Westin Singapore (Premier Room) - Affordable CBD Hotel with a View!

The Westin Singapore is one of the nicest Starwood Hotels & Resorts properties in Singapore. The hotel is located at Marina Bay and since the surroundings are comparatively quiet on the weekends, it provides travellers (and locals!) with the avenue to escape from the bustling city into an exclusive retreat. Take the lift up to Level 32 where the hotel lobby is located and let your experience at this beautiful property begin.

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong (Standard Room)

Singapore's most affordable InterContinental Hotels Group property has officially opened last month (June 2016) and I checked into the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong for a long weekend in an attempt to complete my IHG Accelerate 2016 offers in the most economical way possible (find out how I earned 14,000 IHG Rewards Club points in two nights HERE!). The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong is also Singapore's third and largest Holiday Inn Express property - read about my experience at the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay and Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road.

Hotel Review: Conrad Bangkok (Executive Suite)

When I visited Bangkok two years ago, I stayed at the Conrad Bangkok and got upgraded into an Executive Deluxe Corner Room for simply being a Hilton HHonors Gold member - it used to be pretty standard to expect a double upgrade when you are a Gold member but I hear this has now been changed to a single upgrade instead. Anyhow, I really enjoyed my previous stay at this property and even though it was definitely showing signs of age, the service at this property remains to be one of the best that I have experienced in the city (the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok beats this property hands down though!).

Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok (Deluxe Room)

The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok ranks amongst some of the best luxury hotels in the world. Within the City of Angels, the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok (also known as La Grande Dame) is often referred to as the most luxurious hotel in the city and it's not difficult to see why. Celebrating her 140th birthday this year, the property is located along the famous Chao Phraya River and it is only a short boat ride from the majestic Grand Palace.

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road (Standard Room)

To complete one of my Accelerate Offers last quarter, I checked out the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road (since it was the only HIX brand that I have not stayed in in Singapore then) on one weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how much larger (compared to the Clarke Quay location) the rooms are here. It is important to remember that the HIX is a no-frills brand by the InterContinental Hotels Group so you really are paying for the room only (breakfast and WiFi is always complimentary though!).

The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore remains to be one of Singapore's most luxurious hotels. There are three wings to the hotel and each one of them offer a distinctive experience. As you may already know, the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is currently running the "Time Out" Weekend Staycation Package which is perfect for an indulgent weekend if you are looking to spend quality time with your loved ones.

First Look at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront's New Integrated Dining Concept

The Grand Copthorne Waterfront will be unveiling the brand new integrated dining concept to public on 02 June 2016 (that's next week). As part of the media preview, we were invited down to this property for a sneak peek of the lobby and restaurants last Friday. I have not been back to the property since I've last stayed there towards the end of 2014 so I was pleasantly surprised to see how much has changed ever since.

Hotel Review: Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa (Junior Suite)

The Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa has been on my list of hotels to go to for quite sometime - this was further encouraged by the official re-branding which took place last year after all the refurbishments and enhancements have been completed. The property also houses the world's largest So SPA at its 6,000 sqm heritage site. With 211 rooms and suites as well as four private villas, the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa offers direct access to the idyllic Tanjong Beach in Sentosa and the property itself is a great escape from the busy Singapore city life!
