Read MoreWhen I visited Bangkok two years ago, I stayed at the Conrad Bangkok and got upgraded into an Executive Deluxe Corner Room for simply being a Hilton HHonors Gold member - it used to be pretty standard to expect a double upgrade when you are a Gold member but I hear this has now been changed to a single upgrade instead. Anyhow, I really enjoyed my previous stay at this property and even though it was definitely showing signs of age, the service at this property remains to be one of the best that I have experienced in the city (the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok beats this property hands down though!).
