Is HHonors Discount the New "Easy Cancellation" Rate on Conrad?
While shopping for hotel room nights (yes, I actually do that!), I realised that the Conrad Centennial Singapore has a HHonors Discount room rate listed - upon closer inspection, this room rate offers the same cancellation policy as the Easy Cancellation rate but it comes with a 10% discount - not bad at all! Strangely enough, I do not see an Advance Purchase (non-cancellable) rate so hopefully this is not a direction that the hotel (or brand) is moving towards.

I am not too sure if this is a rate error on the Conrad Centennial Singapore or not but I will definitely monitor and report back. Also, it seems like the refurbishment plans at the property has been put on hold until further notice! Brian Cohen from The Gate has also noted that the discount rate varies from the number of days prior to arrival:
- Two percent for reservations booked within 14 days of arrival, for stays seven days per week
- Three percent for reservations booked 15 days or greater prior to arrival, for stays Sunday through Thursday — or Saturday through Wednesday at hotel and resort properties in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Egypt and Jordan
- Ten percent for reservations booked 15 days or greater prior to arrival, for stays Friday through Saturday — or Thursday through Friday at hotel and resort properties in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Egypt and Jordan
