Hotel Review: PARKROYAL on Pickering (Orchid Club Deluxe Room) - Eco-friendly and Sustainable Luxury Hotel

The PARKROYAL on Pickering is one of the first few hotels in Singapore to truly make a commitment towards being sustainable and eco-friendly. While a number of properties have now caught up with green living, there are only a handful of hotels in Singapore that have been awarded with the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award. Check out my review of the Orchid Club Deluxe Room here!

Hotel Review: The Westin Tampa Waterside (Waterview Room) - Short Stroll from City with Great Views!

I recently travelled to Tampa (from New York) on Delta Air Lines and checked out the domestic First Class product. The journey to Tampa from Singapore was a rather long one and at the end of the trip, I was just really happy to check-in to The Westin Tampa Waterside where I stayed for a week (since it was fairly close to where I needed to be for my day job). Even though I did not have top-tier Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) status, I was upgraded to a Waterview Room which was two levels up from the lead-in room category. Check out my review of The Westin Tampa Waterside here!

Hotel Review: Conrad Tokyo (King Executive Suite Bay View) - Luxury Hotel with view of Hamarikyu Gardens and Tokyo Bay

When I visited the Conrad Tokyo back in 2016, I was completely won over by not only the design of the hotel but the quality of food as well. My lunch at the property's award-winning Japanese restaurant, Kazahana, remains to be one of the most memorable dining experiences that I have had in Tokyo. As such, when I revisited Tokyo back in February 2018, I decided to spend a couple of nights here and since I have stayed in an Executive Room with Bay View previously, I opted for the Executive Suite Bay View this time instead.

Hotel Review: Four Seasons Hotel Singapore (Four Seasons Executive Suite) - Refurbished in 2018

The Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is home to one of the most impressive Chinese restaurants in Singapore and this is also where you will find the first L'Occitane Spa in Singapore. What is more important to take note however is that this luxurious property has only just recently completed a massive renovation of rooms and suites to reflect a brand new colour palette that is inspired and influenced by the nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check out my review of the Four Seasons Executive Suite here!

Hotel Review: Hoshino Resorts KAI Nikko (Japanese-style Room with Lake View GL2) - Beautiful View of Lake Chuzenji

Staying in a traditional Japanese inn (otherwise known as ryokan) is something that everyone should at least experience once. I have fond memories of a particular ryokan that I stayed in with my family when I was a lot younger and therefore, I decided to stay at KAI Nikko which is operated by one of the most well-known luxury ryokan brands in Japan, Hoshino Resorts. On this very same trip, I also checked out the luxurious modern ryokan which is right smack in Tokyo's Otemachi financial district - the HOSHINOYA Tokyo.

Hotel Review: InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay (Club Riverview Studio King)

The InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is one of the newest hotels in Singapore as it was one of the latest hotels to open in 2017 (which was a great year in Singapore for all of us hotel-lovers). Not to be confused with the InterContinental Singapore in Bugis, the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is located in a quieter and somewhat residential area of Singapore but with all that being said, it still minutes away from the city. Check out my review of the Club InterContinental Riverview Studio here!

Hotel Review: HOSHINOYA Tokyo (Kiku) - Luxurious Modern Ryokan in Tokyo City

Even though I had already made plans to visit a number of excellent hotels during my stay in Tokyo, the HOSHINOYA Tokyo was my most anticipated property and it was awarded a spot on the much-coveted Condé Nast Traveler’s ”Gold List 2018” a few months prior to my visit. Now most travellers are familiar with the concept of a traditional Japanese ryokan where tatami mats and onsen are typically associated with. The 17-storey HOSHINOYA Tokyo combines the best of modernity with century-old traditions to create a haven right in the heart of Tokyo's Otemachi financial district.

Hotel Review: Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills (Andaz King Room) - Impressive View of Tokyo Skyline

The Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills is one of the most highly-rated Andaz properties amongst luxury travellers that I know - everyone that has been there has nothing but good things to say about this property. Check out my review of this Category 6 property and find out what makes this one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in!
