Since I had a five hour layover in Melbourne Airport, I decided to check out the American Express Lounge at the Melbourne Airport. There are not too many American Express Lounges in this part of the world so I was fairly excited to check it out (this was my first visit!) after convincing myself to get The Platinum Card a couple of months ago. If you hold a Centurion or Platinum Charge Card from any country, you will be able to access this lounge alongside two guests. Even though I have visited the Qantas International Business Lounge on multiple occasions over the years, I have not actually spent much time in it until today. As soon as I cleared immigration and picked up my luggage, I met up with a Park Hyatt Siem Reap representative out front who promptly took my bags and escorted me to the car. Now a lot of people do not actually know this but the Park Hyatt Siem Reap actually enjoys one of the best locations in the city - it is just a short 20-minute drive from the airport and it is within walking distance to Pub Street which is a great place for food, entertainment and drinks.
