12 Miles per Dollar on Bus and Train Rides with OCBC Titanium Rewards Card (Targeted) - Until 19 December 2018

I received an EDM last night notifying me that my OCBC Titanium Rewards Card will now earn 30 OCBC$ (equivalent to 12 miles per dollar) on all bus and train rides. All I have to do is to register my card on the TransitLink Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) portal and I will be able to enjoy this insane earn rate from 20 November 2018 to 19 December 2018, up to S$500 a monh - this offer is not open to everyone and you must be targeted in order to enjoy this promotional rate. The first 1,000 customers to register their cards on the portal will also get S$25 worth of NTUC vouchers.

OCBC 360 to Revise Bonus Interest Rates from 01 November 2018 - New Categories and Higher Interest Rates

It has been almost a year a half since OCBC 360 introduced any changes and this is set to change (again) from 01 November 2018. I have done multiple comparisons between this account and other competing products offered by other local banks in Singapore and the OCBC 360 is still the account that I have been sticking with throughout the years. From 01 November 2018, OCBC 360 will be introducing a new tier of bonus interest rates for balances between S$35,001 and S$70,000. While there is perhaps one negative change to the total bonus interest that one can get out of this account, it appears to be largely positive if you are currently maxing out the bonus with an average monthly balance of S$70,000.

OCBC Titanium Rewards Card offers 12 Miles per Dollar on ShopperBoard - 1-28 October 2018 Only!

The premature ending of the 4 miles per dollar promotion on mobile payments has left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact, I personally know of a handful of cardholders who decided to cancel the OCBC Titanium Rewards Card just because of that. This morning, I noticed that the very same card is offering 30 OCBC$ (equivalent to 12 Miles) per S$1 spent on ShopperBoard from 1-28 October 2018 - this is capped at S$1,000 which means the most you can earn from this promotion is 30,000 OCBC$ or 12,000 Miles.

5% Rebate for OCBC Cards on Apple Pay - All Transactions but Registration Required!

OCBC has rolled out a number of changes in recent months - for starters, the concierge service for VOYAGE Card members has now been replaced by TEN Concierge and there were a number of revisions to the OCBC 365 credit card (making it a better cashback card potentially). While it is no longer possible to earn up to 4 miles per dollar with the OCBC Titanium Rewards card, you can now earn 5% cash rebate on all transactions when you pay with any OCBC Card on Apple Pay.

OCBC revises the OCBC 365 Credit Card - Good Improvements but Higher Minimum Spend per Month

While I have never been an advocate for a cashback card, it does make sense for some consumers (especially when you have no interest in using miles for Business Class and First Class travel) - using your miles for an Economy class ticket is just heart-wrenching and honestly, you maybe better off with a cashback card. The OCBC 365 Credit Card has always been a strong contender and it brings about some new revisions this month. On the whole, it looks like it has gotten better but there are some caveats that you should take note of.

OCBC to replace John Paul with TEN Concierge for OCBC VOYAGE Cardholders

John Paul is one of the world's leading concierge service and OCBC used to utilise them for OCBC VOYAGE Cardholders. From 01 September 2018, OCBC will be replacing them with TEN Concierge (whom I have personally not heard of) - I do believe that there will be no change to the way cardholders utilise this service but I guess we will find out in a month or so. TEN Concierge claims to have direct access to a live allocation of music, sport and theatre tickets, which is not available to the public but only time will tell.
