It is finally official - you can now enjoy some of your SPG® benefits at selected Design Hotels™ around the world. That's right, stays at these selected Design Hotels™ now count towards obtaining (or retaining) elite status and you will earn Starpoints® (including an elite member bonus and welcome gift) where applicable. Additionally, SPG® members will also continue to receive complimentary in-room Internet access and bottled water.

Here's a summary of all the benefits SPG® Members will enjoy when staying at participating hotels:
- 2 Starpoints per eligible US dollar spent (with a 50% bonus for SPG Gold and Platinum members, and 100% bonus for Platinum members with a minimum of 75 Eligible Nights)
- Night and stay credit toward elite status
- On-property benefits of internet access and bottled water in room
- Gold Preferred and Platinum Preferred Members will automatically receive a Starpoints bonus as their Welcome Gift.
- Other on-property benefits such as upgrades, late checkout, Your24 or Suite Night Awards will not be available at participating hotels.
- Free Night redemption is expected to be available early 2016.

World of Hyatt's annual award chart changes take effect on 25 March 2025, impacting the number of points required for free night redemptions at select properties. In the Asia & Pacific region, 12 hotels will move down a category, while 25 will move up, making some redemptions more expensive.
