How I Used ShopBack to Earn Elite Statuses and Cashbacks in Hotels/Flights
If you do not care about hotel and airline loyalty status(es) and you simply want the best deal on flights and hotels, using ShopBack is especially amazing because you can stack promotions fairly easily. With that being said, if you are a loyalty-chaser and you only care about earning and retaining elite statuses with these programs each year, you can still use ShopBack to earn some additional cashback while keeping these eligible nights (and flights).

I have mentioned ShopBack on multiple occasions and it is simply because earning cashback on your day-to-day transactions is incredibly easy (besides, why say no to free money?!). A lot of people have asked me whether you can still earn elite-qualifying nights (which in turn gives you elite statuses in loyalty programs) and points when you use ShopBack and the answer is YES.
I've put together a really simple flow chart above to show you how using ShopBack can easily earn you some cashback and still earn you the regular Hilton Honors Points and eligible nights (assuming you are booking a Hilton Hotel). ShopBack also runs regular promotions that can easily give you up to 10% worth of cashbacks so it is definitely worth looking out for - you have not nothing to lose!

By leveraging the complimentary stopover on one-way Advantage redemptions, you can effectively book a second holiday for free - provided you travel within 30 days.
