Mark your calendar because Mileslife is offering a fantastic 5X miles promotion over the next four days (14-17 May 2018). All eligible transactions made on the app (excluding Mileslife credit top-ups and the purchase of gift cards) will earn you 5X more miles - bonus miles are capped at 2,000 miles per day. This means to say that if a restaurant typically gives you 3 miles per dollar, you are looking at a whooping 15 miles per dollar next four days!
You might remember that the OCBC Titanium Rewards Card is currently giving you 6 miles per dollar on all eligible transactions made on the Mileslife app so if you were to combine it with this promotion, you are looking at up to 21 miles per dollar on dining expenses over the next four days - seriously, hold a team lunch or invite a friend out for a meal because an opportunity like that does not happen every day!
Thinking about using your World of Hyatt points for a stay but do not have enough? Purchase World of Hyatt points from now until 27 November 2018 to get 40% more - you will have to commit to a minimum of 10,000 points to trigger this offer. Each eligible World of Hyatt account can purchase up to 55,000 points per calendar year and these bonuses tend to max out at 40%.
It is always a good idea to book directly with a hotel chain (or via an approved luxury travel agent) when there is a proper loyalty program in place. I have previously written about the Fine Hotels & Resorts program that American Express Centurion and Platinum members can take advantage of - you typically get at least USD 100 worth of Spa or F&B credit that you can make use of during your stay on top of other FHR benefits. While searching for hotels this morning, I noticed the option to sign-up for a Four Seasons profile and upon doing so, it appears that 'members' are now able to receive USD 100 (or equivalent in local currency) Food & Beverage Credit with each stay.
From now until the end of 31 December 2018, earn double Hilton Honors Points for all eligible stays at participating Hilton properties in Asia Pacific that have been booked and consumed during the aforementioned periods. This offer is only valid when you book direct and pay with a Visa Infinite or Visa Signature card only. If your card was issued in Australia, China and Japan, a regular Visa Platinum Card will suffice.
Mileslife needs no introduction (but in the event that you need, please click HERE to find out more) and if you dine out often, you should definitely check to see whether your favourite merchants are on the platform since you can typically get up to 3 miles per dollar on your dining transactions (you can also earn miles for a bunch of other products like hotel stays and spa treatments). Mileslife is currently offering double miles on selected restaurants (they change every week) so you can potentially earn up to 6 miles per dollar at these places!
I love working in the Central Business District (CBD) of Singapore - the food options are limitless (there's something for everyone and at every price point)! However, one of the things that drive me crazy is the long lines during lunch. Seriously, walking up to any restaurant or stall between 12:00PM and 1:30PM is painful. Thanks to a friend, I have recently discovered Waitrr which allows me to pre-order my food, make payment via the app and then pick it up at the location without having to queue. If you have not tried the app before, using my referral code 'MAR94817' will give you S$3 off your first order!
Eligible American Express cardholders can enjoy a one-time S$12 savings when they charge their Qoo10 purchases between 9-11 October 2018. Cards issued by DBS, UOB, Citibank as well as Citibank Express Corporate Cards are not eligible for this promotion but if you have recently registered for a Platinum Card, you are in luck!
If you tend to use Expedia for hotel reservations, then you should already know that you can easily save at least 10% with the right promo code. While the usual discount that most credit card companies offer is 10% off, Citibank is currently offering a staggering 15% off eligible hotels for reservations made before the 31 December 2018 - stays have to be consumed before the end of 31 March 2019.
Selected American Express cardholders can enjoy bonus Membership Rewards points and KrisFlyer miles when shopping at ION Orchard this October! On all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays only) this month, eligible cardholders will be able to receive additional points (or equivalent miles) after hitting a minimum spend of S$10,000 in a single transaction. Centurion and Platinum Card (including both charge and credit) members will be able to earn 10.5 (4.10 mpd) and 10 (3.91 mpd) Membership Rewards points respectively for every full S$1.60 spent on Luxury Fashion and Fashion accessories at any American Express accepting merchants in ION Orchard, Level 3.
Book a Club InterContinental room or higher in any InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Singapore, Bali, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam before 17 October 2018 to get the third night free. Stays have to be consumed between 01 November 2018 and 31 March 2019 and the maximum stays length for this promotion is 6 nights (this will include 2 complimentary nights). It is also a good idea to time this with the latest Accelerate offer (which you can sign-up HERE) to get the most bang for your buck.
While I was hotel shopping this afternoon, I realised that Mastercard cardholders in Mainland China, the Philippines and Singapore who add a valid Mastercard card in the Participant’s name on the Shangri-La Mobile App between 24 August 2018 and 28 February 2019 can benefit from 100 bonus Golden Circle points.
