The Shutterwhale's 2020 Complete List of New Hotel Openings in Singapore
The number of new hotel openings in Singapore has dwindled in recent years but there are still a couple of new properties to look forward to in the year ahead. While most major brands have already established a presence in Singapore (even though I am surprised a couple more have not actually been announced), travellers visiting Singapore in the near future can look forward to trying out new luxury properties in the city.

Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore - Q2 2020
Located just a short 10-minute drive away from Changi International Airport and within the grounds of the Laguna National Golf & Country Club, the Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore is scheduled to open by the second quarter of 2020 (yes, another push back on the soft opening date). The property will comprise of 198 tastefully-decorated rooms and suites plus eight pavilions showcasing the best of contemporary design, this luxurious hotel also includes, The Greenhouse, an all-day dining multi-ethnic restaurant with show kitchens, the Legends Bar, a pool bar and grill – Tee Deck, a Dusit deli and Laguna National’s award-winning The Nest restaurant.
Among other facilities are a fully-equipped gym, 3 swimming pools, three tennis courts, a putting green, and Devarana Spa. Guests also enjoy easy access to the Driving Range and two championship golf courses – the Masters and the Classic. The hotel offers a large pillarless ballroom (seating up to 520 guests) with a pre-function area overlooking the golf course. In addition, there will be three boardrooms, two meeting rooms, and two large event lawns.

The Clan Hotel Singapore - Q2 2020

The Singapore EDITION - 2020
The boutique luxury-lifestyle brand, EDITION Hotels, will soon make an entrance in Singapore - The Singapore EDITION will be the fifth EDITION property in Asia and it will be located on Orchard Road at the site of the former Boulevard Hotel. The property will allegedly be eight-storey tall and it will be home to 204 beautifully-furnished guest rooms and suites. The Singapore EDITION’s design and services will offer a distinctive hospitality experience defined by Singapore’s embrace of the future, technology, arts and culture. It will be a place where travellers and locals alike will want to congregate, to celebrate and contemplate life. Two residential towers of a luxury apartment (Boulevard 88) would be perched above The Singapore EDITION Hotel.
