Living the Fantasy
We can’t all have the jet setting lifestyle of our favourite celebrities, but we can treat ourselves to a little slice of it every so often. No matter what our position in life, we all deserve to live out the fantasy once in a while and experience life as one of the rich and the famous. Whether this means a trip out to the Maldives or a meal at Annabel’s in London, there’s an option to suit every budget and live out every fantasy. And you never know, you might be lucky enough to spot one of those notorious A-listers whilst you’re out and about.
Holiday Destinations
First up, let’s take a look at the holiday destinations most favoured by celebrities in 2019. At the top of the list is, unsurprisingly, the Maldives, an island nation just off the coast of Sri Lanka in the Arabian Sea. This gorgeous destination is a favourite with the likes of Emily Ratajkowski, Chrissy Teigan and John Legend, and even the British royal family. It boasts white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue seas and year-round temperatures of 30° C. Swanky hotels and resorts abound here and you’re guaranteed a 5 star experience wherever you stay. A vacation here is a no-brainer, really.
Next up is Dubai, described by Nicole Scherzinger as “an exotic, way more expensive Vegas”. In recent years, this has become the place for celebrities like the Kardashians, the Beckhams, and Tom Cruise to spend their downtime exploring.
When looking for somewhere to stay there is, of course, the famous Burj Al Arab Hotel, which is located on its own artificial island just offshore from Jumeirah Beach, along with a whole host of luxury accommodation choices.
Fantasy Leagues
Perhaps you’d rather find yourself directly in the driving seat of a celebrity’s life, instead of simply enjoying their leisure activities. Well, there’s one particular way in which you can achieve both. Hollywood actors such as Ashton Kutcher and Jon Hamm are not shy about their love for fantasy football leagues, in fact, Kutcher even hosted a YouTube channel for a short while, based on his predictions for the league.
If sport’s not your specialty, then there are even fantasy stock markets and fantasy movie leagues to suit any style. The most appealing aspect of fantasy sports leagues, however, is that you can make all the decisions you feel that managers like Klopp or Morinho should have taken.
This favourite hobby of the stars is accessible to anyone and everyone, wherever you’re based in the world and whatever your chosen league is. However, if you're new to the world of fantasy leagues, then finding a trustworthy platform through comparison sites like Oddschecker is the way to go. Once you’re set up then the rest is down to you; the reins are in your hands now!
Celebs’ Fave Restaurants
Whether you’re in London, Paris or New York, there’s guaranteed to be a classy restaurant there frequented by the world’s biggest A listers.
Claridge’s is one of the premier London hotels, preferred by celebrities like supermodels Erin O’Connor and Kate Moss and by royalty from across the globe. Their recently opened restaurant, Davies and Brook, promises to become a firm favourite with celebrities both local and from further afield, serving culturally diverse dishes with a uniquely British twist. This is one place where you can rest assured you’ll always receive a welcome fit for a king.
Over the Atlantic and in New York there is always Nobu. The Nobu 57 restaurant can be found on the first two floors of the Lefrak Building in Queens. The cuisine here is Japanese in style, and the clientele is certainly expensive in taste. Frequent guests include Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Madonna, and Chris Rock, although owner Nobu Matsuhisa is known to turn away celebrities if the tables are too full. He famously once did so to no other than Tom Cruise himself.
TRIBE Living Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 is a great value choice for budget-conscious travelers but its slightly longer walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station may make it less convenient compared to more accessible (but pricier) options in the area.
