Singapore Airlines to Operate Non-Stop Flights to New York (JFK) from 09 November 2020
Starting from 09 November 2020, Singapore Airlines will once again offer non-stop flights between Singapore and New York. The three-times-weekly service between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be operated under flights SQ24 and SQ23.
Flying direct from SIN to JFK will accommodate a mix of passenger and cargo traffic in the current operating climate and it will also be supported by the growing number of transfer passengers who can now transit via Singapore's Changi Airport. Singapore Airlines will operate the Airbus A350-900 long-range aircraft between Singapore and New York which is configured with 42 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy, and 187 Economy Class seats.
Currently, Singapore Airlines operates non-stop services between Singapore and Los Angeles and it will continue to review its operates to the United States before potentially reinstating services to other points in the country.
Crew members on-board Singapore Airlines will wear protective equipment such as goggles, latex gloves, and masks. Inflight service has also been modified to minimise contact between passengers and crew members. A personal care kit comprising a face mask, hand sanitiser, and a disinfectant surface wipe is also provided for each passenger. All passengers are required to keep their masks on throughout the flight when they are not eating or drinking.
