Tracking My Workouts with Apple Watch and Getting Rewarded for Staying Active with LumiHealth - A Third Week Review
LumiHealth is one of the newest apps in Singapore to reward users for staying active and healthy (both mentally and physically). After three weeks of usage, I have found the challenges to be extremely doable for most people but you will need to have an Apple Watch to track your workouts and activity - if you do not have one, you can get the latest Apple Watch SE for free when you sign-up for a Citi Credit Card as a new customer by 30 November 2020.
LumiHealth is an example of gamification in healthcare - residents of Singapore can earn coins which they can then exchange for HPB eVouchers on the app by completing simple tasks. I have kept track of the number of coins that I have earned after completing Week One and Week Two on the app - you will most likely earn approximately S$5 a week for keeping fit. According to marketing materials on the app, LumiHealth users can earn up to S$380 over two years of active usage and that averages out to just S$3.65 a week so I will be interested to see when the rewards start to taper off.
After using it for three weeks, my total coin balance now stands at 4,860 which is worth approximately S$16.20 and this is higher than the S$3.65 theoretical average. At the end of Week Two, the Activity Challenge on my account required me to close all three Activity rings on my Apple Watch twice in a week (as opposed to just once the week before). Remember, if you have been meaning to jump on this opportunity and do not have an Apple Watch yet, you only have less than two weeks left to get the Apple Watch SE for free - simply sign-up for a free Citi credit card as a new customer to get it after making your first eligible spend (no minimum required).
Receive S$80 worth of vouchers when you apply for any UOB credit cards as a new customer between 8-31 October 2024 - minimum spending of S$500 within 30 days of card approval required.
