Expiring ChopeDeals Vouchers This Month? Convert Them into Discount Codes (Valid for 90 Days!)
Just last week, Chope announced that they will be suspending all redemption options(except for charity and non-profit partners) until 03 November 2020. While members will still continue to earn Chope-Dollars on fulfilled dine-in reservation (whenever the circuit breaker measures are lifted), they will not be able to redeem the earned Chope-Dollars for six months. If like me, you have a number of ChopeDeals Vouchers expiring this month, you may wish to convert them into discount codes which will be valid for 90 days.

Firstly, if any of the merchants are closed due to the circuit breaker measures and your ChopeDeals Voucher expires during this period, you should have already received a discount count with the appropriate amount (including the component that you have redeemed Chope-Dollars for) in your email. This should be an automated process and I have received quite a number of discount codes (valid for 90 days) due to this nature of refund.
Additionally, if you still have any outstanding ChopeDeals Vouchers that will be expiring in April 2020 (during the circuit breaker period), you may reach out to Chopeto get a refund. If you paid for the vouchers in cash, you may use Chope's Virtual Assistant to assist you with refunds - these expiring vouchers will be converted into a discount code with 90 days validity. If you paid S$45 in cash for a S$50 voucher, you will receive a unique S$45 discount code which will be valid for 90 days (reasonable!). Unfortunately, if part of that S$45 was paid using a discount code (e.g. S$30 ChopeDeals Discount Code redeemed using 1,000 Chope-Dollars), you will have to reach out to a customer support offer to get that properly converted into a discount code of equivalent value (using the Virtual Assistant will only get you S$15!). There are still ChopeDeals that you can utilise on takeaways during this period and you may wish to check them out. Honestly, I have been rather impressed with the speed in which my queries were answered and resolved so far so definitely reach out to them if you have any further questions and concerns.
