The Cheapest Luxury Hotel Staycation Deals in Singapore That You Should Take Advantage of in Phase 2
There are a handful of luxury staycation deals in Singapore that are just too good to pass up but if you are simply looking for an affordable getaway, these are some of the best room packages that I have seen since Phase 2 of Singapore’s reopening. At the time of writing, most of these properties are 5-star luxury hotels (offering a room package at an affordable price point) but I would be adding other staycation deals as more hotels in Singapore are approved by the STB and MTI to start accepting leisure bookings from local residents.

Luxury of Time at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (from S$380++ per Night)
Approval Status: Approved
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is one of the most iconic properties in Singapore so if the hotel is on your bucket list, you can now stay in a beautiful Premier Courtyard Room (with a space-available upgrade into a Heritage Room) for just S$380++. The Luxury of Time room voucher also comes with S$150 nett dining credit which you can use across dining outlets and in-room dining but make sure you purchase this before 31 July 2020 (voucher is valid for 12 months).
The Luxury of Time room voucher at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore comes with the following inclusions:
One-night accommodation in a Premier Courtyard Room
Complimentary upgrade to a Heritage Room
Early check-in at 11.00 a.m. and late check-out at 6.00 p.m.
Breakfast for two adults and one child (below 12 years old)
Complimentary extra bed for one child (below 12 years old)
S$150 nett dining credit for redemption at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore's dining outlets and in-room dining
The Shutterwhale’s Take: Getting S$150 F&B credit from a room rate of S$380++ is fantastic but do note that certain credits cards from Standard Chartered (e.g. X Card) give you up to 50% off the total dining bill - you will not be able to stack this with the room credit. I would personally make a stay-in weekend out of this voucher and utilise the room credits for in-room dining instead.
Retreat to Sanctuary at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa (from S$388++ per Night)
Approval Status: Approved
If getting away from the main island of Singapore is a major concern, then the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa may be an excellent property for you. The Retreat to Sanctuary room package starts from just S$388++ a night and it comes with a 60-minute massage at So SPA as well as a set dinner for two. Complimentary breakfast is also included so you’ll get to spend plenty of time in the resort and that beautiful swimming pool.
The Retreat to Sanctuary room package at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa comes with the following inclusions:
Complimentary Breakfast Set
1-Hr SoSPA Massage Voucher
Signature Set Dinner
Complimentary Scheduled Shuttle Service to and fro the Resort and VivoCity
Complimentary Fish Spa
The Shutterwhale’s Take: Getting a 60-minute massage for two at So SPA makes this a really desirable room package. I did enjoy my previous stay at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa but I did not find the food to be outstanding on my last visit. With that said, it might be cumbersome to head out of the property to find food so getting dinner served on-property is a nice touch.
Blissful Escapes at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel (from S$380++ per Night)
Approval Status: Approved
Check-in any time you want and then check out 24 hours later when you book the Blissful Escapes room package (e.g. check-in at 10 PM and check out the next day at 10 PM). Stay in one of the beautifully-appointed Pool Terrace Rooms with direct access to the swimming pool and enjoy an English High Tea experience (complete with Champagne) for two.
Blissful Escapes at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel comes with the following inclusions:
24-hour use of the room, subject to availability (e.g. check-in at 11 AM and check-out at 11 AM the next day)
Delightful English High Tea with Champagne for two persons
Complimentary breakfast for up to two persons
One complimentary parking during your stay
The Shutterwhale’s Take: The Pool Terrace Rooms at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel are a hidden gem of the property - I stayed in one of these rooms approximately five years ago and really enjoyed my stay. Considering how much these rooms typically go for, S$380++ per night is a steal and you can really stretch your weekend by checking-in later (e.g. after dinner).
The Hotel Experience Exclusive Package at Sofitel Singapore City Centre (from S$348++ per Night)
Approval Status: Approved
Available any day of the week until 01 January 2021, enjoy a staycation in the Sofitel Singapore City Centre that comes with a choice between a complimentary exquisite afternoon tea or tapas platter and drinks for two.

Or
A luxurious high tea for two with a scrumptious selection of pastries paired with the best selection of teas from TWG (Book two nights and be entitled to both)
The Shutterwhale’s Take: Go for the Luxury Club Room (S$468++) or the Prestige Suite (S$588++) if you can as it is only marginally more expensive than the lead-in room category (especially if you are planning to stay-in).
Restless in Singapore at Goodwood Park Hotel (from S$498++ for two nights)
Approval Status: Approved
Goodwood Park Hotel is known for her strong food and beverage offerings and guests who book the Restless in Singapore room package will get to enjoy a set lunch at Gorden Grill or a degustation dinner experience at Coffee Lounge on their first day of day. In addition to that, they can also pick between an English Afternoon Tea experience at L’Espresso or Set Dinner at Min Jiang on the second day of stay.
Restless in Singapore room package at the Goodwood Park Hotel comes with the following inclusions:
Choice of 3-course Big on Small Set Lunch at Gordon Grill or 3-course Local Degustation Dinner at Coffee Lounge on the first day
Choice of English Afternoon Tea at L’Espresso or Set Dinner at Min Jiang on the second day
Daily Set Breakfast at Coffee Lounge
Complimentary early check-in from 10 AM
Complimentary late check-out at 3 PM
Room upgrade to next category on availability
The Shutterwhale’s Take: The rooms at Goodwood Park Hotel may be slightly dated but there is no doubt that is a great deal if you are planning to stay-in during your staycation. A 3-course set lunch at Gordon Grill typically cost S$58++ per person and English Afternoon Tea experience at L’Espresso typically cost up to S$48++ per person so you are actually paying less than S$300++ for two nights at the Goodwood Park Hotel which also comes with daily breakfast.

Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
Complimentary entry to Sands SkyPark Observation Deck & Infinity Pool
15% off ArtScience Museum tickets
10% off single treatments and 15% off couple treatments at Banyan Tree Spa till 31 Dec 2020
The Shutterwhale’’s Take: For a property that typically charges anywhere between $520++ to S$600++ a night for the lead-in room category, this is a great deal to take advantage of if you are planning a long weekend. There is also a different staycation offer (from S$339++) if you are planning to do just one night but doing two nights will give you more time to enjoy the facilities and it will also stretch your dollar a bit more if your room nights are amongst the first 800 reserved nights under this promotion (since you will get S$120 back in Destination Dollars).
