Shangri-La Golden Circle Extends Tier Status for All Members Through 31 December 2022

Golden Circle has just announced a tier status extension for all Diamond and Jade members globally - all members all maintain their current tier status and benefits through 31 December 2022. To put it explicitly, you will keep your current status for the whole of 2022, even if you have not re-qualified for it.

American Express Platinum Members in Singapore have lost the Jade status benefit in the Golden Circle program this year, so this tier extension is definitely positive news. As a quick reminder, Golden Circle members typically need the following stays and nights to qualify or maintain their status in the year ahead:

• Diamond: 50 Nights or 25 Stays

• Jade: 20 Nights or 10 Stays

At the time of writing, both the JEN Singapore Orchardgateway and the JEN Singapore Tanglin are SHN-dedicated facilities and therefore, they are not accepting leisure reservations for residents looking for staycations. Hopefully, this will change in the year ahead and Singapore residents will once again have more options to choose from which will make it easier to retain their Golden Circle tier status.
