Hotel Review: Pullman Singapore Orchard (Deluxe Premier Room) - Great Location with Excellent Value for Elite Members

Pullman Singapore Orchard sits on a site that once housed the former Grand Park Orchard, a property many long-time Orchard-goers will remember for its distinctive glass façade and prime frontage. The property has been reborn under the Pullman brand with a sharper, fashion-driven identity that feels far more contemporary. Located right in the middle of Orchard Road between Paragon and Mandarin Gallery, the hotel places you moments from the city’s most recognisable luxury boutiques and some of the best dining in the district. With both Orchard and Somerset MRT stations within a short walk, the Pullman is exceptionally convenient for anyone who wants to stay in the thick of Singapore’s most iconic shopping belt while still enjoying a polished, design-forward hotel experience.

When I booked my stay at Pullman Singapore Orchard, it was still under the excellent Red Hot Rooms offer for Accor Plus members - now known as ALL+ Explorer. I wanted a proper weekend breather after a week of ICT, so the timing could not have been better. As an ALL Diamond member, I received a one-category upgrade to the Deluxe Premier Room, complete with a bathtub. During check-in, the team casually asked if I was celebrating anything, and I simply mentioned that I was here to decompress from reservist. I didn’t think much of it, but the staff took that small comment and ran with it. They went out of their way to make the stay feel genuinely special, far beyond anything I expected.

The Deluxe Premier Room at Pullman Singapore Orchard offers 32sqm of space, elevated by a sweeping Orchard Road view from the higher floors. It’s fitted with the modern conveniences you’d expect - effortless screencasting, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels refreshingly current.

As an ALL Diamond member, I also received complimentary access to The Archive Club at the Pullman Singapore Orchard, which turned out to be nothing short of an indulgent playground for anyone who enjoys a good drink - but more on that later.

I last stayed at this address more than five years ago, back when it was still the Grand Park Orchard under Park Hotel Group. Since then, a friend in Bangkok has been raving about the revamped Pullman Singapore Orchard, so I finally decided to give it another go. My room came with a king-size bed that leaned on the firmer side - and honestly, at this stage of life, I’ll take firm over overly plush any day. It was genuinely comfortable and exactly what I needed after a long week in camp.

I chose the Pullman Singapore Orchard largely for its unbeatable Orchard Road location, and while the rooms aren’t dramatically different from the Grand Park Orchard days, they’ve been kept in excellent condition. The hardware has aged surprisingly well and never really needed a full overhaul. The boxy, straightforward layout also works in its favour - it makes the room feel more spacious than the actual square footage suggests. The open wardrobe near the entrance is practical and keeps everything accessible without cluttering the space, adding to that sense of openness.

Minibar
Deluxe Premier Room - Pullman Singapore Orchard

As expected, complimentary coffee capsules are provided, though they’re from a compatible brand rather than actual Nespresso pods. You will also find a decent assortment of tea tucked neatly in the drawer by the minibar. That said, if you have access to The Archive Club, it’s honestly a far better place to enjoy your caffeine fix during the day instead of brewing something in-room. Both ALL Platinum and Diamond members get access regardless of room type, as long as you’re on an eligible rate - so just book direct and you’re sorted.

Filtered Water
Deluxe Premier Room - Pullman Singapore Orchard

While Singapore’s tap water is perfectly safe to drink, the room also comes with a dedicated filtered-water tap in the bathroom. You’ll find two glass bottles provided as well, which is great if, like me, you prefer your water properly chilled. It’s a small detail, but many hotels install a filtered tap and then forget to give you bottles, which makes the whole thing a little pointless. Here, they actually thought it through. The minibar is also intentionally left empty for guest use so no overpriced drinks taking up space, just a clean fridge ready for whatever you actually want to store.

Bathroom
Deluxe Premier Room - Pullman Singapore Orchard

Many hotels have quietly phased out bathtubs in the name of water savings and faster housekeeping, so I genuinely appreciate that the Deluxe Premier Rooms at Pullman Singapore Orchard still come with one. After a full week in camp, soaking in a proper tub felt nothing short of glorious. I also like that it’s positioned within the wet area, which means you can splash around without turning the rest of the bathroom into a slip hazard. It’s a small design decision, but a very thoughtful one.

Bathroom

The bathroom isn’t the sort that will win design awards, but it does exactly what it needs to. It’s spacious, practical, and stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. You’ll also find disposable amenities like cotton buds and toothbrushes if you need them - nothing fancy, but everything you actually require.

Bath Amenities

Bath amenities come from C.O. Bigelow, presented in bulk-size bottles mounted neatly on the wall - convenient, sensible, and aligned with the hotel’s sustainability push. The bathroom also features a proper rain shower, which hits the spot after spending an afternoon wandering around Singapore’s humidity… an experience that really needs no further explanation.

Seating Area
The Archive Club - Pullman Singapore Orchard

There are not many room types at Pullman Singapore Orchard that automatically include access to The Archive Club, but if you’re a member of ALL (Platinum or Diamond) and you book an eligible rate, you’ll receive access - regardless of room type. And honestly, the Archive Club is the standout feature of the property: the evening cocktail & canapés session runs 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm daily.

Wide Selection of Spirts and Gin
The Archive Club - Pullman Singapore Orchard

Anyone who enjoys a proper evening tipple will be pleasantly surprised by the lineup at the Archive Club. The spirit selection goes far beyond the token single-bottle offering you see in many lounges - gin lovers in particular will have a field day with the variety available. The lounge also features self-dispensing wine machines with an unexpectedly interesting range; you can opt for a small or large pour, making it easy to sample a few styles without committing to a full glass.

Sparking Wine
The Archive Club - Pullman Singapore Orchard

There’s even a dedicated cocktail menu and a wine list that gives you a bit more context on what you’re drinking, which genuinely shows how seriously the Archive Club treats its beverage programme. It’s a level of thoughtfulness that puts many other club lounges to shame.

While the food selection isn’t substantial enough to pass off as a full dinner (unless you’re a light eater), what’s offered is genuinely good. But let’s be real - most people are here for the drinks anyway, and the Archive Club absolutely delivers on that front. And if you do get peckish, you’re in Orchard Road. You’ve got endless options downstairs, and Tangs’ basement food hall is always a reliable fix for something quick and local. Service-wise, the team deserves credit. Staff were consistently proactive with drink refills, which is a refreshing change from the typical club lounge experience where you spend half the evening wondering where everyone disappeared to.

Special Welcome Amenities
The Archive Club - Pullman Singapore Orchard

When I returned to my room, I was genuinely stunned to find an entire spread of amenities laid out and clearly delivered while I was out. As I mentioned earlier, I casually told the team at check-in that I was taking a short break after ICT, and they somehow decided it was worth celebrating. I came back to cakes, macarons, fresh fruit and, incredibly, a full bottle of Champagne - something I don’t even receive at higher-tier hotels like the Fairmont despite being an ALL Diamond member. None of this was expected at the Pullman Singapore Orchard, and I certainly didn’t mention ICT hoping for anything, but it was deeply appreciated. It also speaks volumes about how attentive the team is and how they’re willing to pick up on the smallest details to go above and beyond for their guests.

Champagne Breakfast
The Archive Club - Pullman Singapore Orchard

As an ALL Diamond member, I had the choice between the full buffet breakfast at Eden Restaurant or a free-flow Champagne breakfast at The Archive Club and let’s be honest, that decision took all of three seconds. The Archive Club is far calmer in the morning, and on top of the small buffet spread, there’s also an à la carte menu you can order from. It’s a much more civilised way to start the day, and the bubbles certainly don’t hurt.

The food selection was decent enough, though the flavours leaned more on the unremarkable side as nothing really stood out. However, with free-flow Champagne in the mix, it still feels like a wonderfully indulgent way to kick off the weekend. Service in the Archive Club was just as polished as the night before, with staff consistently topping up coffee and drinks the moment your glass even thought about running empty.

In the end, this stay at Pullman Singapore Orchard surprised me far more than I expected. I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but the combination of thoughtful service, a well-kept room, and the standout Archive Club made the weekend feel genuinely restorative. The fact that I managed to snag the stay at just S$204++ under the Red Hot Rooms rate was the real cherry on top - an absolute steal, especially for ALL Diamond and ALL Platinum members who get Archive Club access regardless of room type. For the price, the perks, and the overall experience, this is easily one of the better-value stays you can book in Orchard Road right now.
