IHG One Rewards Targeted Offer: Unlimited 2X Bonus Points on Stays Until 19 May 2026
IHG One Rewards has extended a targeted promotion to a selected group of members, offering unlimited 2X bonus points on qualifying stays between 1 April and 19 May 2026. The mechanics are straightforward: from your second qualifying stay during the promotion period, you earn double the base points you would normally receive as an IHG One Rewards member. Members of the IHG One Rewards program typically earn at a rate of 10 base points per USD $1 spent on room rates at most properties. The 2X promotion doubles that effective rate by stacking one additional point per dollar on top of your base earn.

To illustrate with the example from the official terms: for a one-night stay at a room rate of USD $100 at a property with a 10 points per dollar earn rate, you would earn 1,000 base points plus 1,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 2,000 points. Elite status bonus points are calculated separately and layered on top of this - they are not part of the 2X calculation. The promotional bonus points themselves do not contribute to elite night or points qualification, which is a standard IHG carve-out and applies across most of their bonus promotions.
One aspect to pay attention to: the bonus kicks in from your second qualifying stay, not the first. Your first stay after registration earns base points only (plus any elite status bonuses you are entitled to). The 2X multiplier applies from the second stay onwards. If you are accumulating IHG points for reward nights, the double earning over unlimited stays during a roughly seven-week window could meaningfully accelerate your balance. IHG points are generally valued in the range of 0.5 to 0.8 SG cents per point depending on the redemption property, so the incremental value of the bonus points is real but modest. A five-night stay at a property earning 10 points per dollar on a USD $200 nightly rate would yield 10,000 bonus points (worth roughly S$50–80 depending on how you redeem them) - useful padding without being transformative.
