SilkAir will end operations to and from Hiroshima from 27 March 2020 due to weak demand.

SilkAir (the regional wing of Singapore Airlines) will be transferring its services to Busan in South Korea to Singapore Airlines from 28 October 2019.

Back in May 2018, SilkAir announced that it will receive cabin product upgrades before being merged into Singapore Airlines eventually. Today, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, has announced that Thompson Aero Seating has been selected for the upgrade of Business Class seats on its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet.

The regional wing of Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, will be increasing flight frequency to Cairns, Australia from 02 June 2019. Two additional flights with the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft will be operated on Tuesdays and Sundays each week - this aircraft is fitted with 12 Business Class and 144 Economy Class seats.

As part of the merger into Singapore Airlines, SilkAir will be transferring a number of routes into Scoot over the next two years. These planned changes are expected to take place from April 2019 and they are scheduled to complete by the second half of 2020. As part of the whole realignment, Scoot will also be transferring some of its services to existing destinations served by Singapore Airlines and SilkAir.

Customers departing on eligible Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights will soon be able to pre-order duty-free merchandise up to 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time of flight departure out of Singapore. Effective from 05 September 2018, customers departing Singapore on select SilkAir flights on weekdays between 10:00AM and 4:00PM will be amongst the first to enjoy such an offering.

Getting from the Park Hyatt Siem Reap to Siem Reap International Airport (REP) took only 20 minutes on a car. However the Business Class check-in area for SilkAir is the same for passengers who have already completed internet check-in as well as KrisFlyer (and Star Alliance) Elite Gold. Therefore, you might be queueing in this 'premium line' for a bit. Anyhow, once you manage to get your bags checked-in, clearing immigration is a breeze.
