Lounge Review: British Airways Lounge and Concorde Bar - Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)

I have been to The Qantas Singapore Lounge on many occasions and it is probably one of my favourite airport lounges in Singapore. The quality of food is good, the interiors are beautiful, there is a proper bar (that does solid cocktails) and the lounge will also be expanding this year to cater for more premium cabin guests. Since my last visit to the British Airways Lounge and Concorde Bar was during the peak hours, I was not able to get a decent shot of the interiors and as such, I have decided to drop by the airport a little earlier to check out the BA lounge next door.

Qantas is now Offering Me 7,000 Points or Two Business Lounge Passes for Damaged Business Class Seat

As you may already know, on my flight from Singapore to Brisbane, my seat in Business Class was unable to recline fully on an overnight flight and after reaching out to the Qantas Customer Care team, I was being offered 5,000 Qantas Points ‘as a gesture of goodwill’. While my flight was a commercial ticket (meaning to say, I paid good money for it), it is worth noting that a redemption in the same cabin class will cost 60,000 Qantas Points one way - therefore, 5,000 Points is definitely not a reasonable compensation amount in my opinion. After replying that 5,000 Qantas Points is unreasonable, I have now gotten a counter offer for 7,000 Qantas Points or have my QFF account credited with two Business Lounge passes.

How to Pre-Select Meals on Qantas Flights - Why Should You Bother Even in Business Class

I flew twice on Qantas last year in Business Class and was really disappointed with the current A380 cabin product - they are old, poorly maintained (and cleaned!) but more importantly, the service on that flight was fairly lackluster as well. With that being said, I did enjoy my day flight from Melbourne back to Singapore on the Qantas A330-300 Business Class product. One of the things that I noticed on both flights however is that the cabin crew did not try to upsell any items on the menu - this means that you have a higher chance of not getting your meal choice on the flight (since some dishes just sound better than the rest).
