An Analysis of my IHG Accelerate Offer - 55,000 Bonus Points
Looking at my set of IHG Accelerate offers for 2016, I need a minimum of FIVE paid nights to earn the full 55,000 bonus IHG Rewards Club Points. To take advantage of the offer partially, I can also choose to stay TWICE at a Holiday Day Inn Express for 17,600 bonus IHG Rewards Club Points. It's not too bad but let's take a look at how much do I have to spend.

When UOB Mighty was introduced last month, I was pretty excited - particularly because the previous mobile app was a nightmare to use. As I was getting my morning coffee from Patisserie G this morning (and I paid using my UOB Preferred Platinum Visa for 4 miles per S$1 of course), I received a notification from the UOB Mighty app for a review. A Farewell to Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) Black
I really loved my GHA Black benefits and you used to be able to early qualifying nights even on OTA rates but ever since 2015, you were only able to earn eligible nights when you book directly with the hotel - I have had issues when I booked via GHA itself too (strange!). Upgrade successes were always high and checking-out late is always a breeze (unless at full occupancy of course) but unfortunately, I was not able to hit 30 eligible nights this year so I will be back at Platinum next year which isn't too shabby after all.
Conversion of ANZ Travel$ Miles in 5,000 Mile Blocks (up from 2,000)
It has just come to come to my attention that from 15 December 2015, the conversion of Travel$ to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Programme must be done in blocks of 5,000 Miles (5,000 Travel$) instead of the previous 2,000. Suppose you have 99,000 Travel$ in your account right now, you will now be able to transfer only 95,000 Travel$ (instead of 98,000 Travel$ under the old system).

The craziness that followed the Starwood acquisition news saw Hyatt scrambling and offering Hyatt Diamond.
