Standard Chartered offering Double Bonus Transfer on Accor Live Limitless (ALL) Points for Hotel Stays and Spend- 16 to 29 March 2020

From 16-29 March 2020, convert your Standard Chartered 360° Rewards Points from the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite X Credit Card into Accor Live Limitless (ALL) Rewards Points to receive a 100% bonus. According to the latest EDM that I have received from Standard Chartered, eligible members will be able to convert 3,500 Standard Chartered 360° Rewards Points into 1,400 ALL Rewards Points.

According to the terms and conditions of this promotion, transfers will have to be completed before the end of 29 March 2020 and the bonus ALL Rewards Points will be credited into your account within 15 business days after the completion of the campaign (by 17 April 2020). While the EDM advertises a promotional conversion rate of 3,500 Standard Chartered 360° Rewards Points into 1,400 ALL Rewards Points, I am only able to convert my points in 5,000 blocks on the SC Mobile app. While I am not sure whether the bonus points will be awarded in blocks of 3,500, it would be prudent to convert your Standard Chartered 360° Rewards Points in blocks of 15,000 (since it is a multiple of 5,000 as well as 3,500). While I am not 100% certain whether this is how Standard Chartered calculates the number of bonus ALL Rewards Points to award, converting your points in blocks of 15,000 is a safer way to ensure that you get the most number of bonus points from this promotion - do note that a transfer fee of S$26.75 is applicable with each transfer.

3,500 Standard Chartered 360° Rewards Points can be converted into 1,400 KrisFlyer Miles (or other FFPs at a less desirable rate) or 1,400 ALL Rewards Points under this promotion - the former is typically worth S$20 for most people and the latter is worth €28 (approximately S$44 at the time of writing). While it is already easy to determine the winner on paper, the further extensions of Stay-Home Notices to Singapore residents and long-term pass holders make doing staycations in Singapore an attractive option.

Typically, all ALL members will be able to convert 2,000 ALL Rewards Points into €40 (yes, you will have to convert them in 2,000 blocks so do keep that in mind). If you are making your hotel reservation online (as you should), you will be able to offset the total bill by converting your points into credits at the final step of the booking process. As the Singapore Dollar has depreciated against most major currencies recently, you will be able to get quite a bit of value out of your ALL Rewards Points if you are using them here in Singapore. For example, when I tried to make a booking for the beautiful Sofitel Singapore City Centre, I was able S$62.74 out of 2,000 ALL Rewards Points which is pretty decent. You will be able to use your ALL Rewards Points across an extensive number of properties in Singapore (including the newly-restored Raffles Singapore) so now might just be a great time to jump on this promotion.
