American Express Introduces NOOK by Platinum at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore - A Members-only Space for Centurion and Platinum Members

When American Express relaunched The Platinum Card last year, one of the most exciting benefits that came with this metal charge card is access to PLATINUM VIBES which is an exclusive lounge for Centurion and Platinum members. Following the success and closure of PLATINUM VIBES in Marina at Keppel Bay on 30 June 2019, there has been plenty of speculation on a second location which is presumably going to be in a more centralised location. Today, American Express has confirmed that speculation and the latest exclusive pop-up space for Centurion and Platinum members will be located at 15 Stamford, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.

NOOK by Platinum is an exclusive pop-up space for American Express Centurion and Platinum members only. Located within Alvin Leung’s 15 Stamford, the specially-crafted out space will allow members (alongside their family and friends) to unwind or enjoy some personal reading time. The space is accessible from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily but full lunch and dinner service will only be offered from 12:00 PM to 3:00PM and 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM respectively. American Express Centurion and Platinum members will also get to enjoy a complimentary welcome drink as well as free parking when they spend S$50 or more at 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung per Centurion and/or Platinum Card - reservation is recommended to guarantee availability. 

In the previous pop-up location, food was curated by Michelin Chefs from Saint Pierre (one Michelin star) and Shoukouwa (two Michelin star) and members were also able to select from a curated list of wines that has been created exclusively by Park90, in partnership with Robert Parker Wine Advocate - there were over 100 wine labels (many of which are rated over PR90) that were available at retail price.

All American Express Centurion and Platinum members should have already received an invitation to an exclusive “5 Michelin Stars” Four Hands Dinner (including a meet and greet) with Alvin Leung and Hendrik Otto at 15 Stamford. According to the invitation that I have received, it promises a 5-course dinner paired with fine wine as well as a live band to keep the night going. Opening the second pop-up location at 15 Stamford, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore will make it a lot more accessible for most Centurion and Platinum members (even if they choose not to drive on their own). At the time of writing, it is unclear how the new NOOK by Platinum at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore will look like but I will definitely be sharing more information (including the food and drink menu) once I have had the opportunity to check it out.
