Enjoy Marriott Bonvoy Off-Peak Award Redemption Rates Through 31 July 2020 - Book by 30 June 2020
Marriott Bonvoy has just made off-peak rates across more than 5,500 hotels around the world available for booking. There are typically three rates at properties where you can redeem your Marriott Bonvoy Points at - off-peak, standard, and peak. From now until 30 June 2020, you will be able to enjoy the lowest of them all (off-peak rates) when you use your Marriott Bonvoy points for a free night - you will also get the fifth night free when you redeem them consecutively (bringing the average cost down).

Depending on which hotel category the property belongs to, an award night can be redeemed for as little as 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points under the off-peak rate. You can also reduce this rate further by redeeming five consecutive nights (you will typically get the cheapest night free but since they are all off-peak through 31 July 2020, you will simply enjoy a 20% reduction in required points). It is to my understanding that PointSavers will also be available but I do not suppose you will see that across many properties.
If you are based in Singapore, the government has not officially given a date in which staycations will be allowed in Phase Two but if you look at July 2020, the off-peak rates have not been loaded for all properties. There are only Category 5 and 6 properties in Singapore so you should only expect to fork out 30,000 or 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for an award night (even though you are better off paying the cash rate in most properties as it seems).

This is a great opportunity to accrue some elite qualifying nights that will help you reach the next tier quicker (especially after the elite night credits that you will be given late July 2020) if you have a ton of Marriott Bonvoy points to burn.
