The DBS Traveller Kit is the Perfect Tool for Planning and Booking Vacations in a Post-COVID World
After more than a year of pandemic-induced restrictions and lockdowns, Singaporeans can once again look forward to leisure travel with Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) arrangements that have been announced in recent weeks. While there is light at the end of the tunnel, it is safe to say that traveling a post-COVID world has gotten more complicated with flight restrictions, mandatory testing, and shifts in an ever-changing landscape. In recognition of these complexities, DBS has launched the DBS Traveller Kit to facilitate hassle-free vacation planning for essentials like flights, accommodation, tours, COVID-19 travel insurance, PCR test booking, and even travel advice.
Get the Best Travel Deals and Discounts
Regardless of whether you are planning an international vacation or a local staycation, there are plenty of deals to take advantage of. As you unpack the DBS Traveller Kit, you will also find a whole suite of existing offers on the DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace. There will also be DBS Special Prices on hotel bookings and free cancellation is offered on bookings made at selected hotels. DBS and POSB Cardmembers have access to over 250 airlines and 1,000,000 properties globally on the platform so they can easily compare prices and decide based on their personal travel preferences. Those looking to take advantage of the VTL arrangements will have real-time access to flight availability including Vaccinated Travel Lane flights which will be crucial in ensuring a fuss-free vacation experience upon returning home.
More Miles on Online Flights & Hotels Bookings
There is no better time than now to apply for a DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card or a DBS Altitude American Express® Card which will allow you to earn up to 3 miles per dollar on online flight & hotel transactions (capped at S$5,000 per month). Most importantly, the DBS Points (which you can convert into airline miles) that you earn on the DBS Altitude Cards have no expiry date so you can save them towards a dream vacation.
DBS Customers who book their flights or accommodations directly on the DBS Travel & Leisure Marketplace between 18 October 2021 to 21 November 2021 can also receive up to 4,000 bonus miles (in the form of 2,000 DBS Points) under the Take Off Again campaign when they make at least one or more qualifying transactions fulfilled by participating partners:
Minimum Spend of S$600 across Participating Partners: 1,000 Bonus DBS Points (2,000 Miles); or
Minimum Spend of S$1,500 across Participating Partners: 2,000 Bonus DBS Points (4,000 Miles)
The Promotion is only valid for hotel and flight bookings made through the Participating Partners. For the avoidance of doubt, all hotel stays must be completed by 31 December 2021 and all flights must depart Singapore by 31 December 2021. Returning flights must be completed by 28 February 2022. DBS Altitude Cardholders can also earn up to 10 miles per dollar on hotel transactions made on Kaligo, and up to 6 miles per dollar on eligible flight and hotel transactions that they make on Expedia, with no cap on the number of bonus miles they can earn.

Travel Smarter with Multi-currency Accounts and Daily COVID Travel Updates
Make travelling a breeze with your personal AI-enabled travel concierge, which can help you spend like a local, remain updated on the latest COVID-related travel rules, and receive real-time indicators to remind you to purchase travel insurance before your trip. DBS’s one-of-a-kind Travel Mode feature in the Digibank app allows you to use your Multiplier or Multi-Currency Account (MCA) to convert Singapore dollars into 11 different foreign currencies and store them conveniently within the account. Then simply link your DBS Visa debit card to the account when you’re overseas and spend in the local currency without worrying about FX transaction fees.
Customers can also use the Overseas Spending function in Travel Mode to effortlessly track, categorise and analyse all your international expenses in one place. Know exactly where your money is going, so the only thing you’ll bring back are great memories, not a blown budget.
Easy Bookings for PCR Tests
While VTL arrangements with other countries do make leisure trips possible once again, travellers will have to book PCR tests upon departure and arrival. DBS/POSB Cardmembers can book their Pre-Departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test with Healthway Medical from SGD 128 nett or Doctor Anywhere from SGD 132 nett.

Planning a beach day can seem simple, but unexpected issues often arise. Mornington Peninsula’s beaches are popular, which means dealing with potential crowds, fluctuating weather, and poor preparation can easily ruin your outing. Arriving late might lead to parking challenges, and picking the wrong beach can limit your planned activities. Many forget important items that could make or break their beach experience, leading to stress and missed opportunities for relaxation.
