JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach Extended as SHN-Dedicated Facility (SDF) Through 04 March 2022
The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is one of my favourite properties in Singapore for a staycation. Prior to the whole COVID-situation, the Executive Lounge of the property features a number of meal presentations a day and evening cocktails used to run for four whole hours (perfect for those who enjoy a drink!). While the property was initially supposed to accept leisure bookings from early November 2021, it appears that it has now been extended as an SHN-Dedicated Facility (SDF) through 04 March 2022.

With the number of confirmed COVID cases increasing rapidly in recent weeks, a number of hotels have been designated as dedicated facilities for those serving their SHN and quarantine orders. Unfortunately, this means that the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach will not be accepting leisure bookings anytime soon, and Marriott Bonvoy members will only have a number of properties to choose from in the meantime. At the time of writing, The Westin Singapore will start accepting leisure bookings again from December 2021, but of course, this is subject to changes along the way.
The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel (which has a really decent M Club) along Orchard Road has also been extended as an SDF through December 2021, and it is unclear now whether or not this arrangement will be extended.
After a series of delays, the Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (which occupies the top floors of Merdeka 118) is finally accepting room reservations from 03 September 2025.
Ever stood in front of your hotel room door, key card in hand, wondering if you made the right choice between a king or queen room? You're not alone. This decision bugs first-time and experienced travelers alike, as it can make or break your hotel experience. The stakes are even higher for those traveling with a partner or family.

Swissôtel The Stamford offers stunning views of Marina Bay and a prime City Hall location, making it an excellent choice for international visitors. While the L65 Lounge serves substantial evening food, the limited alcohol selection might not suit all guests, but the hotel is still a great option for those wanting to experience Singapore’s iconic sights.
TRIBE Living Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 is a great value choice for budget-conscious travelers but its slightly longer walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station may make it less convenient compared to more accessible (but pricier) options in the area.
